Calum was in the middle of being lectured by Ashton.

Apparently, 'it's rude to leave a conversation abruptly.' Now, if Calum had another room, it would be really messy. Someone was obviously searching for the crap he never gave.

Why was Ashton so upset over him not talking to Luke? It's not like it matters all that much. Calum was just simply being his antisocial self. Nothing unusual there.

Calum was zoning out again, and Ashton was starting to get annoyed. "Calum, CalPal, Cal, Calza, Callykins, yo Hood! Are you even listening?"

"Oh yeah, of course. I feel ya, bro. Mmhmmm," Calum stated dazedly. Ashton, deciding this was going nowhere, sighed and left the room.

Calum was still stuck in his thoughts. Thinking about nothing and everything at the same time.

20 minutes pass by, and Calum suddenly snaps out of the day dream he was having. He was aware that he was the only person in his bedroom. But hadn't Ashton been there too? Calum's pretty sure he was here only a few minutes ago. Although, he's struggling to sort day dreams and reality. He may as well check around the house, just in case.

He tried the guest bedroom, the kitchen, and his parent's bedroom (they're both on a business trip right now, so Calum's free to do whatever he wants.) Just as he approached the living room door though, he heard Ashton talking. So Ashton is here and Calum's not delusional. Ash seemed to be on the phone with someone. Well it's either that, or he's just talking to himself.

"No, Luke. He's really stubborn."

Who's stubborn? Calum? Because if so, then Ashton's not lying.

Wait, what's Calum's stubbornness got to do with Luke? Calum can be stubborn if he wants, when he wants.

There was a pause, before Ashton spoke again. "Well Luke, you wanna talk to Cal again? Because I know he's standing right outside the door listening in like the creeper he is, isn't that right Calum?"

Damn. Ashton obviously noticed Calum through the glass in the door. There goes Calum's non-excisting dreams of becoming a spy.

Calum tries play it off cooly, but nooooo. Things like that never work for Calum.
"Hahaha Ash. I wasn't eavesdropping. I was just checking to see that you were still here. Yeah."

Ashton just dragged him into the living room and pushed him onto the couch, before dropping the phone on Calum's lap, and walking out of the room.

Calum could hear a buzzing from the other side of the line, meaning Luke was talking Calum slowly raised the phone to his ear. "Hello? Listen...Luke....it was nothing personal when I hung up earlier. Well maybe it was. But anyways, I'm just not good at dealing with people... " Calum trailed off, hoping Luke would get the message and speak up. Or not talk at all, that would be a relief, to be honest. Then Calum could hang up and never have to deal with this again.

"Oh! Hi Calum! And no, it's okay. Could you just maybe not leave me hanging here this time?" was the reply.

"Oh um, sure. I can do that. Yeah. Ash would kill me if I did otherwise, " Calum mumbled. "Wait does this mean that I have to actually try to hold up a decent conversation? That'll make things a lot more difficult. I'll try..."

"Well that's good, because Ashton kind of maybe wants us to talk quite frequently?"

Wait, is Ashton trying to set me up with Luke? Because hun, that ain't happening.
Ashton wouldn't do this to Calum though, would he? He probably wants him to be social. Calum's positive that's never going to happen.
