"We can go in now actually , dee just texted me and told me deon told her they done " I responded grabbing my phone and putting my hood on
I get out the drivers side ,lock the door and make my way into my new beautiful money maker with mal right by my side .
When we walk in we see the graffiti painted walls along with the newly installed black marble counters and vanity's . Along with a chandler you think you'd only see in a celebrity's house hanging right in the center of the building
"You boys out did your selves " I said walking and looking around
"For real , it's lookin so good in here I can already picture when we open for the first time !" Mal said excitedly
"Yea well we been working ever since you got the keys to it Monday " tre said getting down from the ladder going into the space where the bar will be
"Well thanks , it looks so nice " I say complimenting their work while also pulling my zipper down a bit on my jacket because I have yet to hire people to install central air .
"Yes we appreciate it bae " mal says giving him a kiss to really show her appreciation
Turning away from them love birds for a second I Take my phone out and click on Instagram to take a quick boomerang of the progress . Making sure the video looks good i click post and hear footsteps not a minute after .
"It's hot as shit in here , you owe us " deondre say going into the bar space where everyone else were
I walk over towards them all to see deon sitting next to mal and tre sitting across from her . Deciding to take a seat I sit next tre .
"Owe you what ? , we already said that we'd pay yall " I say texting
"Ian talking bout no money" he said wiping the sweat that was dripping down his face with a towel
"Then what you talking bout ?" I ask confused as hell
He simply shrugs and gets up to get a bottom water from the cooler .
"Anywayyyyys " mal spoke up and said I guess to get some conversation going
I turn to look at her and all I see is her giving me that side eye like I'm guilty of something. I ignore the look because I don't even know why she's giving it to me .
"But tre and me gotta get going we going on a lil dateee" she announced and got up grabbing her stuff as well as walked over to me
"Ima tell him .." she whispered in my ear
"Ouu you go girl , tell me the result " I cheer her on while they both walk out
After I see them pull off in tre all black Audi I sigh , from bored ness and from the fact that jaylen ain't been answering .
I turn my attention to deondre and find that he's on his phone , I take this time to take in all his features the good ones and the ones that have been put there by violence. How the tattoos on his neck make sure his adams apple show . How his little tattoos on his face match his persona. how his-
"Like what you see ? " he asked with a slight smirk barely visible
"You wish " I respond rolling my eyes and gathering my stuff (the building keys ,my phone , and the leasing papers )
"Where you going ?" He asked
"I have things to do and tonight my turn to cook " I told him like he actually cares
"Oh , well can you drop me off at my house I normally ask dee but she already there waiting for me "
"Yea cmon it's on the way to where I gotta go anyways "

40 minutes later I'm just getting back to the apartment when my mother call me, I hurry up and kick my slides off and put my car keys on the key rack . I walk into the living room and sit on the love seat .

"Nothing just calling to call I miss having you around " she says propping the phone up so that I can see she cooking something in a pot
"I miss u too ma , when I get everything straight down here I'm gonna visit you , along with dee and tree " I told her
"Mmhm ima hold you to that "she said laughing "But I just remembered your birth control tablets came "
"Oh I totally forgot about my renewal, can you see if you can ship them until I change my addresses? . " "Okay I'll see about it but cmon tell yo mama about your new boyfriend " she said smiling hard
25 minutes later
After talking to my mother about any and everything for 25 minutes I finally get up and walk into my room , I pick out a simple pantry set and my satin robe . I didn't wear makeup today so that made it easier to wash my face as well as brush my teeth . Getting out the shower a half hour later i leave the bathroom and wipes down with my towel .
I heard my phone ring and I walk over to my bed and see it's Jaylen

I was speechless as hell , thinking he was finna tell me where our date would take place he tell me some shit like this ...
I didn't say anything for a good minute trying to rap my head around this . I mean we only been talking for a couple weeks but I get attached fast .
"Oh" was all I could say
"I also think since I'm taking on this new role I don't wanna be tied down by anything or anyone else you know ? " he asked with no sympathy in his voice
One thing bout me I'm not gonna cry over a boy or a girl especially if I only been talking ti then a couple weeks
"Mm well okay " I said that and hung up right after
I do not need any more stress.
Finishing putting my outfit I set out on I get my laptop and starts to order inventory for the beauty bar as well as other furniture that's going to bring the place together. All in all I can now say I'm broke . When I'm done it's around 6 pm and I head into the kitchen to make dinner so dee can have something to eat when she get home tonight .
I chose to make some lamb chops with some asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes along with a sweet Hawaiian roll . I texted De'arra a picture of the food on a plate and she sent back the drooling emoji I laughed ,poured me some Stella rose(black) and dug in . Telling Alexa to play ALL MINE by Brent faiyaz .
