You fear we may wake up with these feelings
no more
you fear we may break up and care
no more.
These fears bother me too
for we are merely human.
But every day I pray to God and the universe
I pray for us to last
I pray for the power, if we were to ever lose this moment
to rewind and reverse
to the time you feared we may wake up with these feelings
no more
to the time you feared we may break up and care
no more
for at that time you feared
at this time you fear
I am yours
and
You are mine
This we must cherish now.
