Caged
Tonight, in the skies, the stars shine
bright
Preaching to the listeners, the true
meanings of life.
But here I am, caged in
my mind
my ears blocked by these broken
thoughts of mine.
"God send me a savior." I almost prayed
but my demons only bit harder on my lips
as they tightened my chains and
strengthened their whips.
