Chapter:10

As Alion dropped to the ground, I yelled and looked at Danicka. She was the reason for all of this.

"Tangina ka!" I said as I smacked her with a pipe near me. "Hayop ka! Pinatay mo ang asawa ko!"

Papa pulled me away as I was already being hysterical. I looked over at Alion who was already being carried in an Ambulance. I dropped to the ground as I cried loud. I can't keep being strong.

Tama na, Klaui. Mahirap na...

I didn't think of the kids since I was just thinking of myself first.

"Dalhin niyo sa ligtas na lugar ang mga apo ko." Papa commanded his team. "Klaudia, tara na sa ospital."

I weakly climbed in the ambulance as Papa tailed behind us in his police car. I was just crying and begging for Alion to wake up. His eyes were opened but they weren't looking at me.

I want my husband to live. I want him again...I can't lose him for the second time. Hindi ko pa kaya.

Hindi ko naman talaga kinaya noon...whose to say that I can do it now?

I was just waiting outside the hospital room. Gusto kong lumabas ang doktor at sabihin sa akin na mabubuhay si Alion. Kailangan niyang mabuhay...kailangan ko pa siya.

Lumabas ang doktor kaya napatayo ako to wait for his words. He looked at me then bowed his head a little and shook it, indicating a simple no.

I cried once more and ran inside my husband's room. I saw him lifeless on that hospital bed so I walked over to talk to him.

"Iniwan mo na naman ako, tangina ka." I said then pulled a chair to sit next to him. "For the second time...you broke my heart. For the second time you not only hurt me but the people around me. And for the second time...I don't want to let you go. Alion please...kailangan pa kita."

I begged him even if he couldn't respond or hear me.

"Alion...bumangon ka. Parang-awa mo na...kailangan kita, mahal." I said. "Mahal..."

I cried so loud that a bunch of nurses came in to check on me. I pushed them out as I begged Alion.

"Mahal!" I said and finally dropped to my knees. "Alion..."

"Mommy!" My kids ran to hug me and look at their father. "Daddy...bangon na po."

I covered my mouth as me and Alona watched Klyde not understand anything. Ang sakit panoodin na nagmamakaawa na din si Klyde kay Daddy niya.

"Daddy? Are you resting?"

"Klyde...come here." Tawag ni Alona kay Klyde as all three of us sat on the couch. "May aaminin kami ni Mommy."

"Why? Daddy is still sleeping, should we wait for him?"

I looked at Alona as my heart breaks.

"Remember when we thought Daddy died? All those years ago?" Tumango naman si Klyde kay Ate niya. "Well...we would have to live like that again. This time...hindi na talaga babalik si Daddy."

"Ha?" Klyde asked then looked at Alion. "He's dead..."

Malamyang sambit ni Klyde at nilapitan si Alion.

"Please wake up. Please...not now. I just got to know you, Daddy. Ipagmamalaki pa kita sa friends ko. Sa lahat ng makakasalamuha ko. I'd tell them that my Daddy is an amazing person."

"Klyde."

I tried to pull him away but he ran to the other side of Alion and talked to him.

"Daddy please!"

I pulled him out at ipapahatid sila kay Papa. Nauna nga lang si Klyde dahil paalis na din si Papa. Babalikan na lang niya si Alona.

I thought Alona wasn't affected deeply. But when I left her alone with Alion...

"Sorry." She told him. "Hindi ko nagawa ng maayos ang mission natin. Pumalpak ako. I was weak, Daddy. When it comes to you and Mommy...I'm always so weak."

Kinuha niya ang kamay ni Alion at umiyak habang hawak iyon.

"I miss you for every lifetime."

Seeing the kids suffer was even more painful.

Mas masakit ang pagkamatay niya ngayon kaysa noong ako lang ang andito. The kids never experienced this before but I have because there really was no way for him to come back to us again.

"Wala na talaga." Ate told me. "We can't perform that illegal matter again. Delikado na ngayon, one shot of immortality was enough. No more."

"Hindi ko n talaga pwedeng makasama si Alion?" I asked Ate Ivory. "I feel so weak."

"Kailan ang libing?" Ate asked hesitantly.

"Next week...Friday." Sagot ko at tinignan siya. "It still hurts, Ate."

"Lahat tayo nasasaktan. Hindi ko pa tanggap but I promised him na whenever he needs me...ay andoon ako. Clearly his family needs support, I'm just a call away."

"Thank you, Ate." Sabi ko at umuwi na kung saan andoon ang tatlo kong mahal. "Alion."

I sat next to his casket and felt sleepy.

"Kung mumultuhin man ako dito sana ikaw na lang. Para kahit papano ay makita kita bago ka tuluyang mawalay sa akin."
