Chapter:8

Alion was acting strangely when we were eating out. I met with Danicka on the way back to our house. May ibinigay siya sa akin na drink from her bar daw. She told me to try it para mailabas na niya at maiserve sa customers.

I said that I'd drink it later kasi ayaw ni Alion na iinumin ko, it was too early in the morning kaya nanood na lang kaming apat ng movie sa bahay. We went to church then ate out kaya ayon napagod kaming apat. Sabi ng dalawang bata ay gusto daw nilang makasama si Alion mamayang gabi kaya pumayag ako na matulog ang dalawa sa kuwarto. I put the drink in the freezer para malamig pa when I taste it.

"Alion, anong ginagawa mo?" I saw him writing on the notebook he left for us.

"Ahh wala, ito lang. Grocery list. Bibili pa ako bukas ng grocery." Sagot niya kaya hinayaan ko na lang. "Hal..."

"Hmm?" I answered when he called me. "What is it?"

"I love you." Sabi niya at lumapit sa akin para mayakap.

"Love you." Sagot ko at hinalo na ulit ang niluluto ko. "Mahal, call the kids." Sabi ko.

He stood next to me at tinitigan ako. "Hindi kita minahal ng ganito para lang masaktan ka ng walang kwentang lalake na iyon. Pangako ko, aalagaan ko kayo nina Klyde at Alona."

"Hal where is this coming from?"

"Wala. Kain na tayo." He said then called the kids.

"Mommy there's a drink in the freezer." Sabi ni Klyde kaya pinakuha ko na.

I was about to drink it when Alion pushed it out of my hand kaya nabasag ang baso. I covered my ears and lifted my feet on the chair because of my trauma when I was a kid.

"Daddy!" I heared Alona scolding Alion. "I'll take Mommy to your room, clean this up."

Alam nilang tatlo na matindi ang takot ko sa mga bagay na nabasag. When I was a kid, I accidentally stepped on a broken glass when I was in the shower. I screamed so loud and got rushed to the hospital. From that day on, I grew terrified of broken glass.

"Drink, Mommy." She handed me a cup of warm tea and went to check out on Alion. "Daddy! You and Klyde are so much alike!"

Narinig ko ang tawa ng dalawa kay Alona. They were surely making a mess now that AJ is getting angry.

They all went to our room and sat there. Alion was busy kaya hindi ko maipaliwanag ang nangyayari. What the heck was he doing?

"Kids, as much as I want you to sleep with us here, I'm afraid I'm gonna ask you to sleep in your own rooms."

Nagtinginan kaming tatlo dahil sa sinabi ni Alion. I knew how much it would affect the kids pero alam kong may rason din siya for it.

"Sige na. Matulog na kayo, bukas na lang." I said then kissed them both on the cheeks. When the kids left, Alion went over to me and sighed. "Mahal anong meron?"

"Danicka." Sagot nito.

"Danicka put poison on your drink. Pinsan niya si Harvey, alam ko ang bawat plano na pumapasok sa isipan nila. I have my spies on them so please don't trust her."

"Alion, are you hearing yourself? Danicka is my friend. How can you say that?"

"Mahal, please listen to me." Sabi niya habang hinahaplos ang mukha ko. "Okay? Please."

"How can I trust you when you were never by my side for 13 whole years? Alion, I love you but when no one else had me Danicka saved me. Every moment of everyday kaya sorry pero hindi ko siya kayang bitawan."

"I understand. You love her and I'm not mad." He said then gave me a kiss. "Sleep tight, Mahal."

Even though Alion told me about Danicka, I still ignored it. I mean what could go wrong?

I met up with her and we went shopping together. I loved our bond kaya hindi ko alam kung paano nasasabi ni Alion ang bagay na iyon.

"Is something bothering you, Klau?"

"Hmm? Oh nothing, I just thought about AJ and Klyde." I said.

Although there were moments where I was ignoring the signs. She already told me before na ayaw niya daw na may sasapaw sa kaniya kaya I got worried when I got the highest score. She glared at me but later on smiled so siguro I was an exception?

Maybe but also maybe not. She hated me to the core and I know it.

So why am I putting up with her? Because she was the only one I got except for Kyla but Ky was always out with friends. I treated Dani as a sister and maybe she treats me as her competition.

Alam ko pero hindi ko siya iniiwan dahil doon, maybe she's got some stuff going on with her.

I went home and saw Alion by the plants kaya nilapitan ko siya.

"Nasaan na sina Alona?" I asked coldly.

He looked at me then got up. "Galit ka pa ba?"

I wasn't mad but I was sure na nagsisisi ako na inaway ko siya because of Danicka. Alam ko naman na ang totoo pero baka kasi ishame niya ako for it.

"No. I was just afraid na isipin mong ang hina ko." I said.

He chuckled and hugged me. "There will never be a moment in the world where I will be mad at you for being weak."

"Where are the kids?"

"Kasama ni Mama, why?"

"Mama Jenny? She texted me earlier na hindi niya daw madadaanan ang mga bata." I said kaya nanlaki ang mata namin ni Alion. "Mahal...sinong may hawak sa mga bata?"
