"Clam down we are only baking with them you don't a big dress for that"you laugh at your daughter seeing her run around her walk-in closet was funny she said that she wanted to look her best to meet Rachel sense she didn't go to the party last night you invited Rachel and nick to come over and do some baking together so alannah could meet Rachel
"But mom i want to look cute to meet her"alannah whines "I know but if you wear one of your fancy dresses your going to get them dirty with flour and baking things" you explain. "ok I will wear one of my park dresses" "Yes and how about this one" you pull out I pink dress with white lilies on it and alannah jumps happily and that causes you to smile happy that she's happy
While you and alannah were setting up the baking supplies you heard the doorbell ring then you call out to one of the maids and ask them to open the door when they came back you look behind them her and see nick and Rachel
when they enter y/n runs up and hugs Rachel and alannah does the same but to nick.when nick picks up alannah he turns to you with a pout "hey how come you didn't hug me first I am your brother after all" as you release Rachel from your arms u look at nick with a smirk "well that's because I've know you my whole life you have had many of my hugs Rachel on the other hand I've only know for 1 hour so she has many hugs to come" Rachel laughs at this "well I look forward to those hugs and thank you for having us your place is lovely" Rachel says "no problem and thank you to I find comfort in this place as well
but it's great you guys could make it me and alannah were just putting out the ingredients for chocolate chip cookies. wait do you like chocolate chip cookies" you ask Rachel "OH yes yes I love them"Rachel assures y/n making her smile "ok let's get started" nick says with alannah on his back
"Auntie Rachel can you help me put the chocolate chips in the batter please"alannah asks Rachel while holding a bag of chocolate chips "sure"Rachel answers her and picks her up and while the chocolate pours in the bowl alannah says "mommy taught me it's like pouring money into a money counter piggyback"
over hearing this you join in the conversation "yep you got to teach them saving skills young right nick" you elbow nick in his shoulder "yep when ah ma started teaching us how to handle money I couldn't even walk straight" nick says laughing at the memory of when your ah ma would give you guys money that you couldn't spend
Rachel with alannah still in her hands joins the laugher while alannah giggles and when you take a moment to breath from all the laughing you say " yes i remember when ah ma did one of those test on us he got so mad he ran away"you say through your laugher "really you never told me you were a rebel teen"Rachel looks at nick but all he does is shrug with a smile you you cut in "not really because no one told pretty boy how hard it is to get outside of tyersall at night with out someone driving you out so he came running back in 5 minutes" you says and Rachel burst out laughing
"hey that's not funny i nearly peed my pants when I heard something in the trees" nick comes to his defense "sure what ever you say Nicky" you tap his shoulder
while you look at the time and realize it's past alannahs bed time so you look at her and say "alannah it's time for you to heard to bed now ok sweetie"you pick her up and rock her you can see she is clearly trying to fight off the sleep "no mommy i want to have cookies with nick and Rachel" "I know but you need your sleep and you'll see them soon we all will be at Ah ma's house to make dumplings ok"you say trying to convince her "ok but promise you won't eat off all the cookies ok" "ok I promise" you and her pinky promise and when your done you make her say goodbye to nick and Rachel and then hand her to a maid and tell her to make sure she goes to bed
"So Rachel what does your mom work as" you ask while talking a sip of tea from your cup, "oh my moms a real estate agent" Rachel says while eating one of the cookies you guys made together "oh thats good" you smile and reply "i hope you don't mind me asking but what did your husband do" Rachel ask trying not to make you sad. "well he was an art museum owner two half of the museum's i own where his before he passed away"you smile " i inherited them when he died that's why I have so many"you continue trying not to get sad. "oh I didn't know but what's you favorite Museum out of all of them" Rachel says you look down at a bracelet alannah made you.the one in Canada "oh how come"Rachel ask "because of it's name" you say "oh really what's it's name"
