Mixed Emotions

After I said that, everyone went quiet. The tension was so thick to the point you can use a machete and still not be able to cut through the tension

Tanya didn't say a word and just left. I looked at her leaving figure in shock as she slammed the door when she went out

I looked at the family and stuttered "I-I... Uh! Look, I'm really sorry for all of this. It's best that my sister and I leave." then went to go grab our things before they could utter a word then went outside to find Tanya

But before I could close the door, I heard Sophia shout "WAIT!" but I only replied with a "I really am sorry." then closed the door

I looked behind me and saw Tanya. Who was just standing on the sidewalk looking down on the ground

I went to her side and showed her, her army hat. She looked up at me with a sad look on her face. To which I can only give her a sad smile and a hug in return

None of us cried, when we found out. In actuality we just feel confused about it all

The two of us didn't utter a word but were enjoying ourselves in the other's embrace

But something felt off and I know Tanya knew about it too

"Tanya?"

"Yes, Ollie?"

"You feel something weird going on?"

"Yeah... Actually I do."

We both broke off from the hug to look around the surrounding area to see everything came to a stop

"I see you have found my gift to the both of you." We heard a deep voice

We turned to where it originated and saw a dove sitting on the gate

"Being X..." Tanya said with malice in her voice as she pulled me behind her

"What are you on about now?" Tanya said as she continued to glare

"Nothing in particular. Just fulfilling a wish that the two of you wanted and needed." He simply explained in a weird way and by weird I mean the bird's beak didn't even move

He just opens it when he talks then closes it back up again

"What are you talking about?! If this is one of your tricks into making us worship you then forget it!" Tanya said

"Yes and No. Yes, this is one of my ways of making you two believe in me and at the same time, not so much." He explained

"The hell you mean?" I asked

"I just fulfilled your wish on having a family again and want to give Tanya a chance to know what it feels like to have a family. Since they were too busy with work and all." He explained

"But wouldn't that be another reason for Tanya to worship you?" I asked

"It doesn't matter. What matters is, if you two would take the chance of having a loving family backing you or just leave them and it will just be the two of you? If you ask me, I would take up this blessful opportunity that I gave you." He said

"But we didn't ask your opinion." I said with a smug look on my face

Tanya looked at me and said "Nice one, Ollie."

"ENOUGH OF THIS INSOLENCE! CHOOSE!"

"No need to shout, we can hear you alright before." Tanya said

"Can you give us 5-10 minutes... Please?" I asked

"...Fine but be quick about it." He said annoyed
