The morning sun was still rising with the sunlight somewhat peering through the trees. Rowe yawned and groaned following the sidewalk trail with a chattering group of boys complaining and predicting how school will turn out to be. "I bet we will have butt loads of homework." The tall friend of his said stretching out his long bony limbs. His name was Horace, he is tired of school in general. "Ugh, don't remind me!" Another guy groaned glaring at him insisting that it wasn't the best way to start the day. He was an acquaintance of Rowe but he assumes they are friends.
Rowe awkwardly chuckled nervously only hoping anyone in his friend group will have any classes with him. School is literally the last place he wants to be in the entire planet. Especially if there was nobody that he knew shared a class. "Have you gotten your schedule yet?" Horace asked him. He looked at the folded sheet of paper that Rowe clenched onto through most of the walk to school. "Rowe." He said getting close up to his face in order to get his attention. Rowe broke from his daze and backed off. "Huh?!?" "Dude, is that your schedule?" "Oh! Yeah..." He unfolded his creased up schedule and showed it off to his friends. He began to sweat even harder as if the summer sun just got hotter. Things began to get more intense as his friends stared at the paper until they looked up to him.
One of the guys pointed at one of the names on the paper. "The weird kid from the other school is going to be in her class." Everyone began to chatter about the kid and Rowe couldn't help but feel more nervous because he still doesn't know if anyone is sharing any classes with him. His pacing began to get slower as they finally made it to the entrance. "This place is going to be living hell." Horace sighed brushing back his long dirty blonde hair locked in a ponytail. He looked back at Rowe who is panicking for dear life. Horace went back and patted him on the back. "Well, this is it," He said smiling at him. Rowe began to ease up a bit having the slightest bit of hope. "Tell me how your class is! See ya after school!" Horace ran off with the boys winking at him as they rushed inside the building. Rowe immediately dropped all his hopes as he looked up at the building which it's shadow was casted over him. It almost felt as if the building was growing.
