09| "Those eyes"

She's the one who bullied me. But
failed miserably. I kinda laugh at the
thought of those days when she tried
doing something, and she'd fail, and the look on her face was priceless.

"Awe, look at you. You look the same as you did when you were fourteen." She says with a huge bright smile.

Wow, okay.

"Thank you." I put on my fakest smiles.

"Who knew you'd make it here.''

"Same goes to you."

"Well, what did you expect, I am the
Kara Cooper. Everyone loved me at
school and I was rich and all you
know." She brags.

Yeah, sure, everyone loved you. (Note
the sarcasm)

Girl, people were scared of you,
because you'd make they're high
school life is a living hell, just because
they did the littlest things to you.

I want to so badly roll my eyes.

"Oh excuse my manners, I'm Kara
Cooper, kathrines friend from
high school, it's nice to meet you.." she trails off as she puts her hand out to Xavier.

"Xavier Sky." Xavier says, taking her
hand.

"Ouuu, you got a keeper." She says
looking at me with a he is hot look. I
fake smile.

"and this must be Amara, hi." She says.

"Hi." Amara awkwardly says.

"She is so cute. She looks so much like Ace." She says.

"Mhm." I force out.

"Where's Ace?" Kara asks. "I thought
you two were together."

Oh, somebody, please kill me.

"Oh, ummm, we're not together
anymore."

"Oh, that's a shame. Everyone loved

ou two at school, what happened. Did you cheat, or did he? Did you guys lose feelings for each other?"

"Oh, none of that actually, we just
decided it was better we stopped
dating."

"Awe, I get that."

"Sure you do." I quietly mumble to
myself.

"What did you say?"

"Oh, nothing."

I look down, but I only now notice that she's pregnant. To be honest, I didn't really picture Kara being a mother.

Not because of her attitude, but
she doesn't look like she could be a
mother.

Was that a bit mean? Yes.

Did I regret it? Nope.

"I see you're pregnant." I say in surprise.

"Yeah, I'm almost eight months, and
I feel like this baby is about to bust out
anytime." We laugh, but it's obvious
they're both fake.

"Okay. It was lovely seeing you kathrine  but I have to get back to the kids over there." She points behind me.

I turn my head to see six kids sitting at the table. Two girls and four boys.

I also see a man who looks to be in his esrly thirties, sitting there, talking to one of the kids.

"Hope to see you again. Have a lovely rest of your day." She then walks away and leaves.

I can feel how tense Xavier is. It's like the mention of Ace triggered him if you know what I mean. Like he knew Ace or some shit. I don't know, but it did something to him.
