07| "I also want you to be happy"

"Your lying." She exposes. I sigh.

"Why?" She ask.

"I don't know he's just not for me." I reveal. We walk in silence for a while until she speaks again.

"Are you doing this for me."

"Yes, I am Mara."

"Is it because I've always wanted a dad?"

I'm silent. That's all I reply with, silence. Nothing.

"I don't like that you are doing that."

"Why don't you?"

"Because I also want you to be happy."

"Amara trust me I'm okay there's no need for you to stress about."

"Literally when anyone says their okay they're lying and-" I cut her off with one of my looks that say 'end of conversation'

After walking on the streets of Italy, we stumble across a small vintage cute little shop.

"Can we go in?" She asks.

"Okay." And just like that, she pulls my arm, that's interlocked with hers into the store with me following behind.

The moment we entered, the bell rang. A women wearing a long orange dress, with beautiful grey long-ish hair in a claw clip and blue eyes appeared.

She looks like she's in her early sixties.

"Ciao." She greets with a warm welcomed smile.

(Translation: hello)

"Ciao." Amara and I greet in sync. I looked down at her in disbelief.

"I didn't know you could speak Italian." I say.

"Yell now you do." She says with a proud smile.
I roll my eyes playfully. I look back at the women in front of us. She's looking at use in awe.

"ragazzi vi assomigliate così tanto. e tua figlia?" She asks.

(Translation: you guys look so much alike. Is she your daughter?)

"Si." I let out a laugh.

(Translation: yes)

"posso parlarti in inglese?" She asks unsurely.

(Translation: can I talk to you in English)

"Yes you may." I switch to English.

"Can I help you find anything?" She asks.

"No. This one just wanted to come in." She nods and looks down at a smiling Amara.

"Actually, may you please help me find a necklace with the letter 'A' on it?" Amara asks.

"I think I've got something for you. Just follow me." I look down at Amara to she she's literally jumping in excitement.

On our way here, before she asked me about Xavier she asked if she could get a gift for Aubrey, so here we are getting one for her.
