Chapter 13- Doorways

" Well, it will probably sound creepy, but yeah ! I noticed you before. Actually most of the time you are here. " he replied without looking at her face

" It's not creepy.... Well a little.... But it's cool. " she laughed

" What about you ? Have you noticed me before ? " Wayne asked Emily

" Well actually yeah, but not in a creepy way. I've seen you around, talking with your friends in the cafeteria. But I didn't knew your name. " she replied

Then they started to talk about random things. Things they are interested in. Things they like to do..

While they were talking, Dan was still trying to reach Emily.

"Any luck ?" Asked Vince

" No " Dan shook her head

" Well we can try later, they are waiting for you. Tell them what you told me. " he told Dan

She went to the room where they keep the alien body.

" Give me the box. " she told David

David gave the alien octagonal box to her. Everyone gathered around.

" Mmmm....ok... " Dan took a deep breath. " From the moment we discovered these things we were trying to find out more about it. But we couldn't find much. "

" We all thought the box and sword are somehow related. That these things are made of same material. But I think we got it all wrong." She stopped

" What do you mean? " Asked Diya

" Well the box is actually a part of the alien, not the sword. " Dan replied

They all looked at each other.

" Well look at it hands, notice anything ? " She asked again

They all looked at its hand but didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Dan approached it. Then she grabbed a pair of gloves and put them on.

" Look " She put it's two hands together, as if holding hands.

" See ? " She showed it to them, but still none of them understood what she meant.

" Oh come on people..... Can't you see ? Look at the shape of the hand and look at the hole in the box " she tried to explain what she was talking about.

" OH MY GOD.... Dan you are a genius. How could we miss that ? " Diya was so excited.

The shape of the hole now match the shape of the hand. They can now put the hand in the hole and it will fit perfectly.

" What will happen if we do that ? " Asked Diya

" Now we don't know anything, but I have a feeling that we can find out about it. " Said Dan

" So what do you want us to do now ? " Dan asked Vince

" We waited too damn long, I don't want to waste another day. Let's unlock the Pandora's box. " he replied

" Come on people you heard the boss. " Albert shouted

Albert and Dan slowly put the fists into the hole carefully. But nothing happened. They waited few more minutes.

" Well as usual, another dead end. " said Diya

" No.. no wait. Twist that slowly " said Vince.
