And embrace all the pain
But would I be able to make it
In this lifetime?
Maybe if I went back in time,
I won't be afraid to fall
And I would make that call
But would I be able to use
The last dime?
Maybe if I went back in time,
You would invite me to lunch
And I would accept just to save a hunch
But would I be able to feel the love
And smell the thyme?
Maybe if I went back in time,
I would meet you at the sunset
And I would tell you that it's fate
But would I be able to stop
The perfect crime?
Maybe if I went back in time,
I would find the soul that is lost
And pay the world that it cost
Maybe this time,
I'd save only what is mine.
