chapter 15- a chapter ended

olive went home that night all of the feelings of seeing max and Lucas kiss come rushing back to her.. all the feelings she pushed away all night long

olive truly thought max was just a silly crush she was going to get over but a month later and the crush was growing everyday

olive cried about it feeling so stupid that she thought max would like her..

all olive wanted was to be able to talk to someone without being judged but unfortunately she lived in a small homophobic town

and her parents would hate her if they ever found especially her dad ...

it was stupid olive was crying over a girl that was never hers and never could be hers ..

olive suddenly heard a knock quickly wiping her face as she went to her door no one was there she heard the knock again looking behind her to see dustin at her window

"what are you doing here?" Olive asked weakly

he jumped into olives room almost falling face first which olive normally would have laughed at but olive didn't have the Energy

"I came to check on you" he said facing hef

"about what?"

"Lucas and max kissing"

"what how-" olive suddenly panics

"well I know you don't like Lucas because of the fact you know the whole him liking you thing last year and so it had to be max" he said it like it was the most normal thing ever

"you don't hate me now?" Olive asked as she felt back tears

"of course not there's nothing wrong with the fact that you like her" dustin said as he pulled olive into a hug

"Thank you I really needed that" she said as tears slipped down her face

he pulled away smiling the smile Olive loved so much

It was silent for a minute and he said "so what are you gonna do?"

olive sighed as she sat on her bed "nothing I want Lucas to be happy and max of course"

"yeah but you can't sacrifice your own happiness"

"she doesn't like me dustin she likes Lucas and honestly I can't blame her" Olive said as she looked at the floor

"don't be so soon to give up really" dustin said "I see the way she looks at you"

"and I see the way she looks at Lucas" Olive sighed

He frowned and said "I'm serious don't give up so quick"

"alright I'll make a deal with you okay?"
He nodded as olive continued

"for whatever reason you think she is going to fall for me .. so I'll say till July after July I'll give up if she still likes Lucas" Olive explains

I said the deal like it was nothing he obviously thought it was way more serious then I did.

"oh she will if she hadn't already and I want proof that you are actually going to do what you say"

Olive rolled her eyes "what do you want me to do?"

"Get a piece of paper" he said olive stood up from her bed walking over to her backpack that across the room from where her and dustin were

she grabbed a piece of paper as two Polaroid pictures fell out of her backpack she looked at them

one of Steve making Olive smile and then the other of max and olive

olive had completely forgotten about the photo

how did she not see it in here?

She noticed something different about the photo at the bottom it read "we look cute together" making olives face flush as she looked at it

this is what max was doing with the photo when she ran off with it olive realized but soo olive frowned putting it back

she wrote that before the dance so she doesn't feel that way anymore, Olive walked back over to dustin with a pen and blank piece of paper

he hands the paper back to Olive it read "Olive swears she will wait till July to get over max" Olive rolled her eyes

"seriously are we in second grade?" She asked

"sign" he said

"I didn't realize this was so serious.." Olive says as she signs the paper with her signature

olive loved summer and she loved the idea of max liking her back

"thank you now, can I stay over I don't wanna bike all the way home" he said as he took the paper and folded it into in his pocket

"of course!" Olive grinned as she made a bed for him on the floor

"so you and Nancy?" Olive mocked he went red

"stop that" he groaned

"She said I was her favorite.." he stated "oh really now?" olive replied as she listened to him tell me the whole conversation.

Dustin took the bet very seriously but to Olive she didn't because she knew there was no way max was going to like her by July ..

authors note- wow I wrote season 2 really fast but anyway I'm so excited for season 3! I have so many ideas and I hope you liked this last chapter!
