      chapter 14- the not so terrible snowball

it's been a month since the night olive got beat up by Billy in the Byers house. Olive in fact did have a concussion

.. max felt really bad about it she thought it was her fault of course olive told her over and over again that she wasn't responsible for her step brothers actions

she has el back, her and max had gotten really close though her feelings for max have grown too... olive was still trying deal with her sexuality it was still a sensitive subject ..

olive and Mike were doing better things would never be the same but it was getting closer and Mike even started to like max a little but by little a very tiny pit but it was still progress in olives eyes

"oh wait" Karen said as she took pictures of olive and mike standing side by side on the stairs.

tonight was the annual snowball dance olive didn't care much for dances but max was going to be there the idea made olives heart flutter

olive was wearing a blue dress and Nancy had helped her get ready ..

olive was really embarrassed to ask Nancy for help of course but the poor girl had no clue what she was doing

"all right enough" mike said sad he still didn't smile for the photo "mike just let her take the photos" olive said

"just one more! Okay? Just one more" my mom said as she lifted up the camera once more

"why" Mike groaned

"Because my kids are so good looking" My mom stated making mike groan and yell "mom!"

"yeah come on Mikey" olive mocked as a grin formed on her face

"mom!" Mike groaned

olive, will, max, Lucas and max stood together olive peeking glances at the pretty girl who was currently next to Lucas

max looked over at olive making her quickly look away and pretend she was looking at the decorations

a blush settling on both of their faces as they stole glances at each-other when the other wasn't looking 

olive watched as dustin walked up to the group with a grin on his face he did a little spin making olive grin from ear to ear

"Holy shit what happened to you!" Mike laughed olive immediately slapping his shoulder as she glared at him

"What do you mean what happened?" Dustin asked suddenly feeling insecure of his look his

hair was done like Steve's obviously with the help of Steve and his routine he told olive and Dustin all about

"What?" Mike said back

"Dude!" Lucas said

"your hair" max stated

"is there a bird nesting in there-"

"hey don't be mean! Dustin I think you look lovely" olive defended

"thank you olive" Dustin gave her a grateful smile

"And There's no bird nesting in there, asshole okay? I worked hard!" Dustin said

as he pushed some pieces of him hair back into place time

olive could feel max's eyes on her olive didn't look at her afraid she would look away and olive liked the idea of max looking at her

time after time starts playing

Lucas asked "max?"

"hey. Um it's nice right, you want to um you want to like.. you know? Like, just you and me?" Lucas stutters
