Piper Valentine. A sweet, cute girl comfortable with herself. The sorority girls loved her and her outgoing attitude.

Her face had the perfect makeup. Her red blush vibrant against her dark, glowy complexion and the red lip gloss making her thick lips more apparent. Her naturally, beautiful curved eyelashes made her dark eyes appear so lovely and divine. She was the definition of coquette, and she loved it.

Her ambitions were to start a fashion line and perhaps marry into a rich family.

Her life was always full of sunshine. She knew who she was and was confident. It didn't matter if she was one of the only black girls in her white dominated town. She owned it.

However, her heart was weaker than she made it out to be.

Piper could feel her heart flutter everytime she went to college and would meet his dark eyes. So masculine, handsome, cold and mysterious. She had always liked men like him.

Perhaps he was the reason she would straighten her coily hair, perhaps he was the reason she grew a little insecure.

He gave her attention. A stare or two, then a smile. He then kissed her after class, leaving her brain fuzzy as her blood rushed to her lush cheeks.

She had never felt this way around a man before. It was easy for her to get male attention but with him, she wanted to give everything to have his affection.

Her brain played her fantasies, where she could imagine marrying him and having mixed children with him, all the children he could ever want. He was her master in her lonely head, and she would do anything to achieve that.

He likes women who could bake? She learned a lot of recipes. He likes women who wear bright, colorful clothes? Well she already did that.

Every rumor about his taste in girls was sucked out violently by Piper, she needed every possible way to win over Elijah's cold, brooding heart. She wished to be in his arms and give him his favorite cake, chocolate.

But she wasn't what he was looking for at all. Instead, he had his eyes on one particular blondie, Valerie.

She felt her heart break as he handed one of her sorority companions a beautiful red rose. She watched from a distance where no one but her and her angels could see. And she thought to herself, why?

Did he lead me on? Why did he kiss me? She could remember his warm tongue glazing her plump lips and the way his dark eyes made contact with hers. The way his large hands were perfect on her petite waist or how she would still remember the burn his lips left after pecking her forehead. It was all for nothing.

So, acting like the irrational teenager she was, one day on a faithful morning, Piper would wear her shortest skirt and a tight fitting cream blouse. All the right spots.

She noticed Elijah sitting on the bench with his fuck boy friends and decided that it was for the best.

Sitting next to him on an empty spot, she immediately hooked her thin arms around his neck in which Elijah reciprocated with a smirk on his pink lips.

The cat calls, lustful stares and the wolf whistles feel on deaf ears when Piper seductively brushed her lips over Elijah's ear.

In a small, gentle soothing voice, she told Elijah, "You're an absolute creep."

Elijah raised his dark eyebrows. "What now?" He said huskily, keeping his cool.

"You're nothing but a pervert, a womanizer, and a piece of shit," Piper said with a smirk and pulled away. "How about you go tell everyone how much of a good fuck I am and how you were able to smash a black chick, huh?!" Piper lied through her white teeth.

Getting 'Ohhs' from his friends, Elijah was in absolute shock and terror. "Piper what the fuck?" Elijah pushed her away, "No fucking way I said that. I never slept with you."

In the distance, honey colored eyes noticed the commotion. Valerie was observing her surroundings like she always did. Did Eli hurt Piper?

"Whatever, and now you're trying to get Valerie, you fucking clown," Piper snarled. She was going to get revenge on him leading her on. His friends 'ohhed' even more.

"Fuck, Eli, you're the man. I'd tap that too."

"Damn, Valerie? She's fine as fuck dude."

Enzo, Elijah's friend, stayed silent among his large friend group. What a fucking asshole, Enzo thought.

But Valerie couldn't believe It. Me? Why?

But then, his infamous icy cold stare met her warm ones and she could feel her tiny body freeze up in response. Elijah completely got off, his jaw and fist clenched.

The whistles and catcalls increased in volume even more when Elijah walked towards Valerie and grabbed her hands.

"Hey, Hey! The fuck do you think you're doing Elijah? She's not some fucking doll you can drag!" Piper shouted and the other girls shot burning glares at Elijah, having a completely different opinion on him now.

But Valerie stayed silent, her body shaking. She couldn't react to a larger man grabbing her by force, she couldn't stand up for herself.

Courtney, one of Valerie's friends, groped her shoulders and glared at Elijah. "Let her go, she's not some toy."

Elijah glared at Courtney, making the girl immediately look down, feeling intimidated by his presence.

Valerie's shaking increased, she didn't know how to react, she was never placed in such a situation. Her lips trembled and her body was paralyzed with only vibrations, she could pull her hands from Elijah's strong grasp.

"Elijah, let her go. She's autistic," Courtney replied impulsively in which Valerie immediately tensed up.

Elijah then stared at her distressed face, noticing how much weight he's putting on her. His slight empathy made him let go of her soft, warm hands."Fuck," he said, running his fingers through his hair, wondering why he did the actions he did.

She's going to fucking hate me, he thought to himself.

Meanwhile Piper had time to think about her actions and looked down at her lap. Seems like she didn't regret anything, as Elijah led her on. Piper got up and walked to her friends who were confused out of their own minds.

Meanwhile, Elijah walked back to his friend group himself. Enzo stared at him silently and his other friends chilled down.

Courtney stared at Valerie worringly, in which the shorter girl continued looking at the floor. "Courtney, thank you."

Deeply, Valerie didn't want her autism to be seen as a burden. It was unnecessary for Courtney to say it. Valerie wanted to own it, but she just couldn't react.

But if Piper was right, then Elijah is just some player.

If so, why could she feel her heart melt when she would catch his burning but icy gaze?

A/N yes the characters are insufferable in this story, but who knows, there may be character development ;)
