Max smiles at me and walks to my car. She sits down and closes the door.

"Hey, y/n!" Max smiles.

"Hey!" I say.

Max opens her mouth to say something, but stops as she sees Billy in the backseat.

"What?" He questions.

"You guys are back on good terms?" She asks.

"Yeah," Billy says.

She looks at me and smiles.

"Thank god. I'm tired of those other girls. No offense, Billy, but Y/N is the only decent girl you've ever brought over," she sighs in relief.

"Decent?" I question sarcastically.

"N-No! You're better than decent-"

"I was kidding, Max. I already know I'm better. Enough of that though, how was the dance?" I ask.

"I'll tell you later," she says while glancing at Billy.

"Gotcha."

"Hey, why can't you tell me?" He questions.

"Because you hate my friends and my friends hate you," she states.

"Just tell me, Max," he sighs.

"No."

He gives her a look and she sighs.

"You don't have to tell him, Max," I say while giving Billy the death stare.

"You should," he says while glaring at me.

"No, don't."

"Yes!"

"No!"

"I had my first kiss," Max says loudly enough so we can hear her over our bickering.

"Serious?" I ask.

She nods her head and I squeal.

"You're growing up so fast! Come here," I croak.

I bring her in for a tight hug and start to get emotional again.

"Y/N, I- I cant- Can't breathe," she wheezes.

"Sorry," I say, letting go.

"I told you this would happen!" I say to Billy.

"Yeah, don't remind me," he sighs.

"You talked about what would happen at the dance? Also, Y/N, are you- are you crying" she laughs.

Billy laughs and I slap him on the shoulder.

"They grow up so fast," I sigh.

Max laughs and we hug once more.

"So, you and Lucas?" I question.

"Yeah," she smiles.

I giggle and she looks at Billy. He looks annoyed.

"Hey, you said you wanted to know. There you have it," Max says.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. Can we go home already?" He sighs.

"What are we listening to tonight, Max?" I ask.

"Something exciting," she responds.

"Gotcha," I say.

I pop in Live Wire by Mötley Crüe and she smiles. I check my rear view mirror, and see Billy smirking.

I sing the words to the song and suddenly, Max starts to sing too.
