Don't Count On It

Chapter Two

I get dressed and sit in my room. I'm waiting for Murdoc to finish getting ready,then we'll go. He opens my door and leans in the doorway.
"Hey,come on,D."
"Yay!" I take one last look in the mirror before I leave.
"Aye,not bad,faceache." He smiles at me. He doesn't do that very often. He's wearing black skinny jeans, a maroon t-shirt, a leather jacket and combat boots.
The horn honks once as he unlocks the car. I get in the passenger side. He gets in the driver side and puts the keys in the ignition. He revs the engine and grins devilishly. I hit the button on the radio and 'Hearts Burst Into Fire' by Bullet For My Valentine blasts from the speakers. As we head down the road with windows down,the midnight summer air fills my lungs.
We get to the cinema. We're wordless as we walk to the door.
