Afternoon came, and everything settled down well. I took a quick trip to the comfort room to fix my hair and wash my hands.

"So, have you given it some thought?"

"You seriously can't take a hint, can't you?"

Please, Chaeyung is one pretty young girl with lots of charm and wits but one thing I just can't like about her is her Mount Everest like pride.

"What are you talking about?" she rises an eyebrow and looks me up and down.

"Seriously? Do you always show off how dumb you are or is it just in front of me?" I finally face her with crossed arms. "Say it. Say exactly what it is you want. This argument is too dumb to be because of a childhood promise I can barely remember. Say it."

"Ever since you got out on the spotlight you've turned in to this overconfident wanna be that thinks her daddy can back her up for everything she needs. What? Are you going to go crying to your father?"

What does she think of me? Daddy's little spoiled brat? This girl- She better got life insurance cause her attitude is talking death.

Wait, holy fuck- I've figured her out! I know what this is about.

STORY TIME

Lee Chaeyong, eldest daughter, sister of two younger brothers. The pressure is on her. It was the last year of middle school where I tried to normally go to school. Because I was more used to studying at home, that year was crazy and foreign to me.

She was in the same class, first class for sure, and she had already quite the pride built up. Because we were both eldest daughters of powerful families, she thought of me as competition and everyone else were small stepping stones.

Let's just say that...there were a lot of things that became a problem.

Its not my fault that I was a child that was forced to do well in school. I had my own priorities and problems to handle. In short, I was indifferent of her and she hated that. She hated me for thinking that our rivalry was nothing, which to me was true. I WASN'T COMPETING WITH ANYBODY IN THE FIRST PLACE.

"Lee Chaeyong, why are you so jealous?" the smirk that once on her face turned to a frown. "You've got your own thing going on. Why care about what others say? Have you ever stopped to think that you're already in one of the best years of your life?"

"It will only be the best year for me once I'm above you." she steps closer, her heels clicking on the marble floor. That is a sexy red lipstick, not gonna lie. And she's gorgeously tall, what the heck is this girl's issue when she's literally taller than me??

"You're already taller than me, doesn't that count?" I whispered quietly.

"That's not what I meant by above you, YN." she whispers back.

"I know, just saying."

"Alright, I'll admit. This isn't about being partners, I just want to see you fall behind me and kiss on my feet."

"Seriously? I mean, I can tell that you have good hygiene from how good your perfume smells but come on? Kiss your feet? I could just kiss your hand and call it even."

"You're not taking me seriously, aren't you?"

"Oh I'm taking you seriously that I could shove your face down the toilet." I smile at her with the most sincere one I could do.

"You're threatening me?"

"Look Chaeyong, I'll be real with you. In the past, I never really liked socializing. I was always homeschooled because I get too anxious when I talk to people. But now its different. I learned how to overcome that and be more confident because I left all my issues behind. And you can love yourself even more from growing into who you want to be for the better."

It didn't seem like she was taking my words as an excuse, she was listening which I'm relieved about.

"Chaeyong I don't hate you, and I wish that we could be friends if you're cool with it. But if you really hate my guts, I'm not doing anything about it."

She was thinking about it, but I couldn't wait any longer so I left.

Crap, did I make it worse? I'm seriously no good with these kinds of things.

"How'd it go?" To my surprise, Minho showed up. "Did you fight and shove each other in a toilet?"

"Does it look like that?"

"Ah so you didn't fight, that's no fun." He laughed.

"I didn't know you and Chaeyong were close."

We started walking out of the lobby to head to the park where the kids were.

"Close would be an exaggeration. She just happened to be a friend. And what about you two? Looks like you have history. "

"Its too short to call it history but it's... I just wish it turned out different. Maybe she and I could've been friends." the kids were playing, running around and tagging each other. "Maybe she and I could've treated each other like sisters. Miel only came to my life recently so I'm doing my best to be a big sister."

I glance at him to see him staring back, listening to me. "You're gonna be just fine, YN." he calmly said just above a whisper.

His words really comforted me. And I'm grateful. This makes me miss Felix, he would say the same thing to me.

"And don't worry about Chaeyong, she's just had it tough lately. Her dad is pressuring her to study abroad again so she can't get married. Before you know it she's at your door step with a bouquet of flowers and a big apology."

Well, isn't that too specific? "But isn't good for her dad if she gets married and has a successor?"

"Chaeyong is the only daughter of that old man, she's his one and only princess. You know how that feels?" he smirks knowingly.

"I guess so. Haaaa, I'll just have to take your words on this. Thanks, you're nice to me today."

"What do you mean?? I've always been nice."

"Uhuh, right."
