𝐑𝐔𝐄 𝐑𝐀𝐍 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐎𝐌𝐁 𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐓𝐄𝐑, collapsing to the floor once she entered. her skateboard and bag fell onto the floor with her as she panted, trying to get as much air into her lungs as she could. she had woken up late that saturday morning to many texts from the drama club group chat, miss jenn asking all of them to come in. ricky was already out of the house, and so was her father, so no one could take her to the school. so she basically ran the whole way to school, and let's just say she is never gonna join any sports that isn't skateboarding. "i'm here! i'm here!" she yelled. "oh, god. i can't breathe."
"rue, honey, we started an hour ago." miss jenn informed, going over to help the girl up from the floor.
"i - i know. but i didn't know that this was going on until i woke up. and ricky didn't wake me up. i - i don't set my alarms on saturdays." rue panted, letting miss jenn help her up. she left all of her stuff on the floor, bending over to put her hands onto her knees. "i, like, really can't breathe. oh, my god."
"i tried to wake you." ricky told her from where he stood next to nini, the salazar-roberts girl packing up her things.
"how exactly did you try to wake me?" rue questioned, looking at her brother.
