'Is that why you turned her upper body into ketchup?' Regis releases boisterous laughter at my quip, dropping the crushed half of the female wraiths body in the process. Richmal let's out a thunderous roar as he takes off to Regis, crashing into his flaming body and wrapping tentacles around him.

My attention then turns back to Blaise, who is now standing just a few yards away from me. His black flames forming sizable balls of blackened light that suddenly launches at me. Pulling at the aether around me, I raise my right hand and watch as purple lightning crackles and shoots out from my hands before ramifying in flashes of uncontrolled decimation.

Explosions shake the entire cavern as amethyst light erupts around us after my lightning came into contacts with Blaise's spell. I vanish from sight as I activate Godstep once more, white flames encasing my fists as I slam into the flaming wraith. He lets out a shrill cry as I take his arms in hand, watching with a false, wry smile etched on my face as his flesh freezes down to his bones. With a small enhancement of my grip, his arms shatter into small sparkling white shards of ice.

Before Valeska could whisk him away, my hand wraps tightly around his thick neck, freezing it and jerking my arm to the side. Effectively decapitating him. No blood left him as the unbreakable ice froze over the wounds I created.

"Valeska! Retreat!! You have to get ba—" Richmal calls out as he struggles with Regis, who is writhing violently in his acidic hold. Somehow, the flaming wolf finds an unnatural way to turn his giant head to face Richmal, whose face contorts into terror. Regis opens his maw and releases a hell-storm of purple flames. The smell of burning flesh wafts in the air as Richmal roasts in those flames until nothing but his boots is left of him.

I quickly seal off the entire cavern with ice, which is then turned into an amethyst color as I add aether to the spellform. My eyes widen at my own spell, gazing at the beautiful ice in wonder. Aether and mana can't be combined, they repell but somehow attract...like a magnet.

Yet, somehow I just managed to combined the two.

'Not the time for internal analysis—' Black spikes explode upward from the wrecked ground, directly underneath Regis. Already feeling the sudden burst of mana, my companion becomes completely incorporeal as he lets the jagged spikes pass through him. Our attention turns to the last of the Wraiths.

Ifiok and Valeska.

I let the full weight of my aetheric intent fall over the sealed off cavern, making the two fall to their knees. Regis stays behind me as I approach the last two wraiths, who gazed up at me with eyes mirroring terror.

"I want you to send a message with me." They tremble under the weight of my multi-toned voice. Aetheric chains burst into existence and coil tightly around their body like morbid basilisks. That's fitting.

Turning to where the portal once stood, aether flows to and out of me as arcs of runes shimmer into existence. The essence of the portal shifts back to life as the pieces pull themselves back into place. The portal ripples and the space in the middle of the portal arc shimmers with light once more.

Grabbing the thick chains like leashes, I pull the trembling figures of the remaining wraiths with me through the portal, with Regis following close behind.

Light bends and shifts around us as the nauseating feeling of the portal pulling me to a new location falls over us. It is a quick trip as I step foot out of the portal, followed by a towering Regis. The air is still as my eyes trail over the many, many soldiers that stood stock still in fear. This must be an army base, not too far from the central dominion.
