"I'm more than ecstatic about your pregnancy if only that scumbag didn't harm you." Lorch took a lungful of breath. "I'm gonna pamper you and I'm excited," he chuckles, hugging her gently but tighter.

"I want to have a boy."

Nagkibit-balikat siya. "I don't have preference. My only prayer is that you and our baby will be safe and healthy. That's what matters to me."

"Thank you—"

"Don't. The blessing and happiness you brought to my life is nothing to compare to what I am giving you. So don't thank me."

"Let me feed you, okay?" saad niya.

"Really?" Naniniguradong tanong niya.

Saskia nodded. "After what happened to me, I realized that I'm better off with my dad and mom beside me. They must be really worried right now..."

"They don't know yet about what happened to you," he informed.

"And I think it'll be best if we don't tell them. They'll just worry."

Lorch nodded. "I'm happy you're going home," saad niya. "I've been praying you will."

"I didn't want us to argue and stressed you. Alam ko naman bakit ayaw mong umuwi. You have work here."

Marahan itong ngumiti at hinaplos ang pisngi niya.

"You keep on surprising me, Lorch.

"I'm not moody." Lorch refuted, scowling before kissing her hand.

"Yes, you are, baby."

"Whatever," he grumbled, taking the glass from her after she drink.

"Magtatagal ka ba dito baby?" Tanong nito sa kanya.

"I'll wait for you." Hinalungkat niya ang bag nito. "Can't leave you alone again after what happened. It might end up my sanity," saad niya at kinuha ang suklay nito.

"Tell me if I'm hurting your scalp."

Lorch paused and then sighed because of the question.

"Messy hair reminds me of someone, luv, that's why. Haven't I told you yet?"

Nagkibit-balikat ito. "Who reminds you?" Nagtataka nitong tanong.

"My biological mother," he replied with a deep sly sigh.

"Oh..." Saskia was speechless.

"When I was a child, I remember my mom looking always regal and beautiful. Kahit nasa bahay lang nakaayos siya. She's like my mom— Aleandra — today. I remember we were well off. Dad— your dad — works and mom also do. Until one day, mom slowly shows sadness and stress. They argue there because that was the only place they are together for long. They have a separate bedroom I remember.
