Chapter 32: Questions

Lucian: "Okay you ready"

Lexi: "Yup"

Lexi unracks the barbell and steps back a couple inches. Lucian stands behind with his hands out. She begins squatting lowering her legs and pausing for a second when she reaches the bottom position. Then pushing her feet into the ground and standing again. She repeats over and over until she finishes 4 sets. Lucian helps her rack the barbell.

Lucian: "Is that it?"

Lexi: "Yea, I can do the rest on my own thanks"

Lucian: "No problem"

Lexi puts on her headphones, goes to grab dumbbells and continue her workout. Lucian goes into the sauna where everyone went in while he was helping Lexi.

Lucian: "She has good form didn't even grab the weights once"

Stefan: "Wow"

Lucian: "How long you guys been in here"

Adrian: "Not long came in here a couple minutes before you"

After about 10 minutes Lexi finishes working out. She takes off her sweater and wipes her sweat with a towel. Drinks some water and joins them in the sauna. 

Lucian: "Hey"

Lexi: "How long you guys been in here"

Stefan: "10 minutes more or less"

Lexi: "oh"

Stefan: "Can I ask you something"

Lexi: "Sure what"

Stefan: "do you know Emilia's foster dad?"

Lucian kicks Stefan and shoots him a glare

Lexi: "yea why"

Stefan: "What's he like? How come Emilia doesn't talk or say anything about him"

Lexi: "All I'll say is he's a nice dude anything else you'll have to ask her yourself"

Lexi then stands up and leaves the sauna with a smirk and think's "they're getting curious". She heads upstairs to shower but not before texting someone. 

Lexi: Her family's wanting answers about her past

Uncle I.K: perfect now turn that curiosity into suspicion

Back in the Sauna:

Lucian: "What the hell Stefan 

Stefan: "What"

Adrian: "Did you not hear anything we said earlier"

Stefan: "I asked Lexi not Emilia"

Lucian: " That doesn't make a difference she's going to tell her you asked"

Stefa: "Oh I didn't think that far"

Adrian: "Idiot"

The timer for the sauna goes off and they get out.

Lucian: "Dad aren't you going to say something"

Marco: "Stefan you shouldn't have asked you should've listened to what we told you earlier, all you'll accomplish by doing this is jeopardize our relationship her. Now go take showers then come back for lunch"

Marco calls Dominic to find out what he and Luca are doing

Marco: "What are you guys doing"

Dominic: "We're grabbing some lunch"

Marco: "Okay, take him to the mall after let him get whatever he wants he's been having a rough time since the school shooting"

Dominic: "Yes sir"

Marco hangs up then goes to take a shower too.

Emilia finished taking her shower and goes into her closet and puts on a hoodie and some sweatpants. She goes deeper into her closet and removes a cabinet. She opens a secret compartment she made and takes out a hidden burner phone no one knows about. She unlocks it with voice recognition and calls someone listed "J"

Emilia: "Hello"

J: "Oh my god hi"

Emilia: "How's he doing"

J: "Pretty good he misses you"

Emilia: "Can I talk to him"

J: "Yea give me a sec"

J': "Mommy"

Emilia: "Hi baby I miss you so much"

J: "me too"

Emilia: sniffles "You know how much I love you right"

J: "I know.  mommy you wanna hear funny song"

Emilia: "I'd love to"

J: fife little monkey jump on bed one fall off bump his head.....

Emilia chuckles and sheds a tear as she listens to him sing

Emilia: "Wow that was funny"

J: "Mommy did you like it

Emilia: "I loved it baby can you give the phone to your uncle for me please"

J: "ok"

J: "yes"

Emilia: "has anyone come looking for you notice anyone following you"

J: "Don't worry I've taken all the protective measures"

Emilia: "You're sure"

J: "I'm sure"

Emilia: "Ok, hand him back the phone

J: "mommy"

Emilia: "Mommy has to go now okay"

J: "awwww"

Emilia: "I'll call again soon okay I love you"

J: "Bye mommy"

hangs up

Emilia hides the phones then goes to the bathroom. She wipes away her tears and splashes water on her face and mutters to herself "He's safe he's safe he's safe"

She then goes down to join everyone for lunch
