"Ryojin usually comes over on Sundays, if I'd known you were coming back, this all could've been avoided." Ace said, handing baby Daehyun a fresh strawberry.

Landon rolled his eyes, "Well, excuse me for trying to suprise you, next time I'll just announced my arrival to fit your schedule." he answered sarcastically.

Ryojin smiled softly at hearing Landon's sassy voice, he has no clue how much I miss him.

"You didn't try to suprise us." Light pointed out, feigning distress.
Ace sighed, "He likes me more, we all knew this. Ryojin, are you staying for dinner?"

Ryojin shook his head hesitantly, "No, I'll let you guys have the first dinner as a family." he declined kindly.

I don't want him to go... "It's not that special really, Leah isn't even having dinner here so we're not really a family." Landon pointed out with a smile.

"Exactly." Ace agreed, picking up Daehyun from his small play area on the floor and carrying him into the dining room.

Ryojin was reluctant but finally caved and sat down at the table. His chair was, purposely, placed right besides Landon's usual spot.

"So, what do you have planned for next week Ryojin?" Light was the first to start another conversation as Ace helped Ash bring dinner to the table.

Ryojin bowed his head in thanks before turning to Light, "I have to go back to Korea next week so I'm applying for a passport for Daehyun." at the mention of his name, the small brunet smiled, showing off his two bottom teeth in the front.

Landon wasn't 100% sure but according to when he left, Daehyun would be about 6 months, he thought.

"You're leaving?" Landon asked, his heart lurched as if it was begging Ryojin not to go.

Unbeknownst to himself, Landon's voice was heavy with desperation and panic in everyone else's ears.

"No," Ryojin instantly responded, "I have to renew my visa in Seoul which will take about two weeks." he explained.

"Oh... And you're taking Daehyun with you?" Landon quickly responded before taking a sip of the soda in front of him.

Ryojin nodded curtly, "I don't trust having a babysitter watch him for so long." Landon could only nod, it made sense.

Ace smiled, "Lanka, you don't have anything for a few months, why don't you watch Nikka?" he offered, pitching the idea to Ryojin more than Landon.

What- I..."I mean, I could but..." Landon looked over at Ryojin, "if you're fine with me babysitting, I totally will."

Ryojin was conflicted, he wanted to say yes. But..."Daehyun only knows some English, I'd need someone who speaks Korean." he said.

"I only had a year so my pronunciation isn't very good, but I'm good enough, right?" Landon asked in a drawn out pronunciation but it was understandable.

Everyone looked over at Landon surprised; except Daehyun, who was pushing around mash potatoes on his plate.

"You know Korean?" Ryojin asked normally, almost quickly and Landon felt if he spoke any faster he wouldn't be able to keep up.

Landon nodded with a nervous smile, "You told me if I wanted to know what you were saying I should learn Korean." he answered in a low voice, hoping Ryojin still remembered that time almost two years ago.

He did, Ryojin smiled, "I'm proud of you." he said softly, fighting the urge to reach over and grab Landon's hand which was resting on the table beside his own.

Landon's cheek flooded with red and he looked down at the table, Oh my god- I just admitted I still thought about him all last year, even to the point of learning his language.

Ryojin said, "Well if you're available- I wouldn't want to impose, of course, then I'd like if you could watch over Daehyun-ah."

"Of course, I'll babysit for you." Landon answered almost too quickly, but he had to admit he was eager to get to know the small child.

"Then it's settled, Landy'll watch Dominic while you're gone." Light announced with a clap of his hands.

a week later,

Ryojin's apartment

"You still live here, I sort of expected you to move apartments." Landon said with a small laugh of relief when Ryojin opened the front door for him.

Ryojin gave a small smile by lifting the corners of his mouth as Landon leaned forward and hugged him.

It wasn't a long hug, more like a small embrace between former lovers; as if the whole thing wasn't awkward or nostalgic for either of them.

"Come in, everything's still the same way mostly. I turned the spare room into Daehyun-ah's room, which is that way." Ryojin pointed to the hallway on the other side of the living room.

Landon nodded and stepped into the kitchen, it was still so familiar and Landon felt as if he could just slip right back into his old position.

His old self, just put the collar back on and go right back to being Ryojin's submissive...and then his life could be complete.

But Landon had to remind himself, I was the one who broke it off...to suddenly come back and wanting to be apart of his life is so selfish.

"His schedule is posted on the wall in his room and as I said yesterday, he's allergic to peanuts." Ryojin said quickly, grabbing his suitcase and car keys.

"Here's the apartment key," Ryojin casually handed the key to Landon which gave the 20-year-old a strong sense of déjà vu, "you can sleep in my room and the code to the garage is on the fridge."

Landon nodded, "Alright, anything else?"
"No, nothing. But if you need help call Ace, he's babysat for a short period once before." Ryojin answered, going into Daehyun's room and kissing the small boy's forehead.

"Tokki*, dad has to leave. Be good." he said in a low voice in Korean before tapping the baby on his nose, making him giggle.

Ryojin stood up and turned to Landon, "Are you sure you'll be okay here alone?" he asked in a voice laced with worry.

Landon nodded once, "Yes sir-" he paused, realising what he'd just said, "I... We're gonna be fine, go ahead."

Ryojin sighed and gave one last look at Daehyun before smiling slightly and leaving the apartment.
