I was sitting quietly while eating, they we're chit chatting about business, and I dont care. Pero kanina pa'ko pinanlilisikan nang mata ni Mrs.Zalduque kaya napapangiti ako. Mannnn, everytime i annoy anyone who hates me amkes me feel butterflies.

"Speaking of a little pain in the ass. Why don't we talk about your son's girlfriend?" rinig kong tanong ni Mrs.Zalduque sa asawa niya kaya napataas kilay ko

"Oh, Franchesca? She's a nice girl, love" Mr.Zalduque smiled at me kaya nginitian korin siya pabalik.

"Hmm, nice huh?" Mrs.Zalduque chuckled sarcastically "N. I. C. E. Nice? Or did the defenition of nice changed? Because as far as i know if your nice, you wouldn't had your brother killed" my calm breathing hitched, really? Why does everybody knew about my past?! Why the fuck do y'all have to know about it?!

My hands started shaking under the table. Naramdaman kong hinawakan ni Nic yung kamay ko kaya napabaling ako ng tingin sakaniya.

He was staring at his mother "Mom, you promised not to-"

"I kept my promise, hindi ko naman siya sinaktan sa salita ko ah? Not unless she's still affected, right Franchesca?" i returned my smile again and looked back at her.

I saw her flinched when my eyes landed on her kaya mas lumapad ang ngiti ko "Yes ma'am, i should've never let that happen to my brother. And don't worry darling" humarap ako kay Nic tsaka nilagay yung isa kong kamay sa pisngi niya "She's right, hindi naman ako nasasaktan" i smiled at him and leaned for a quick kiss.

Nang ibalik ko naman ang mata ko sa nanay niya ay nanlilisik narin ang mga mata nito. Heavens i really love it when people gets annoyed because of me!

I suddenly heard Luci giggling "You look like a buffalo mother" she bursted out laughing kaya umiwas nalang ako ng tingin habang natatawa ng bahagya. I saw Nic biting his lips to stop himself from laughing. Bigla nalang napawalk out si tanda at sabay sabay kaming tumawa "That's a good one my princess" Mr.Zalduque laughed as he complimented his daughter.

"Facts father, facts" napailing nalang ako sa usapan nilang dalawa. The four of us had a little chitchat hanggang sa pinatawag ako ni tanda'ng babae.

"Im sorry sir Nicholai, but your mother requested not to bring you with her." Paumanhin nung maid habang nakayuko.

"What? What else did she said?" he asked back calmly.

"Your mother said let us have a woman to woman talk for a bit before they leave"

"I know mom she never played fair-" Mr.Zalduque cut him off.

"Let them be son, have faith on your girl. Kaya niya yan" hinawakan ni Mr.Zalduque yung braso ni Nic.

"He's right" i squeezed Nic's hand "Kaya ko'to okay? And thank you Mr.Zalduque, sayo din Luci" i smiled at them. Nginitian ako pabalik ni Kuci tsaka nagflying kiss.

"Just call me tito. Tito Nathan or dad if you want" he gave me a warm smile.

"Sige po tito. Tito po muna, dad na'po pag kasal na" I playfully winked at him kaya natawa siya.

"Sure daughter in law" he joined the flow then i left with the maid.

Nang makarating sa pinto ay bubuksan na sana niya pero binalingan niya ako ng tingin "Madam, sana ho ay makapagusap kayo ng maayos nang hindi ka umiiyak. Madam Zalduque is more than a merciless woman" Nanginginig niyang payo.
