Present time, year 2022.

Your heart shattered in your chest as Jungkook's words sank into your skin and mind. Your heart feels like it is ripped into two now. You can't imagine what he went through all these years. How he endured all those pain alone. You never imagined Zen could do something this low. She was the storm you two never saw brewing. Even when
it came closer you ignored the high
winds and the constant nagging that something was wrong.

Right now it's not Zen who surprised you the most, it's Jungkook himself. You looked at him as tears flowed from your eyes, he looked back at you with a soft
smile in his lips which definitely reached his teary eyes. He amazes you on another level. How can this man still be smiling? That was too genuine one?

You can tell your heart is shattering just by looking at his face. And you know he is in pain too. So much pain is hiding in his heart. 'Why did you never tell me anything when you found out ? You asked as a tear fell from your eyes.

"I wanted to, but I couldn't.I didn't want you to see me as a cheater as a person who betrayed you. I wouldn't be able to see it in your eyes. I wouldn't be able to see hate for me in your eyes. I was so
ashamed of myself. I thought i realy
cheated, knowingly or unknowingly it doesn't matter it was still cheating and i wouldn't be able to stand in front of you
after that, " Jungkook said looking away seeing your eyes are still glued to his direction

" I was a coward y/n, I didn't fight for us. I didn't choose my family over you. I was forced. I wanted to run away but after knowing about Zen's pregnancy a part of me died knowing there's no way out there. After my marriage I never treated
Zen as my wife nor like my best friend. She became just a mere person in my life who was just carrying my child.

When Jay (Zen's baby ) was born,
didn't feel anything. It was like my heart stopped loving or caring for people. But soon when I started seeing him around me more l started liking him. Jay was seven years old when I found out that he wasn't my son. When Zen's ex boyfriend came out of nowhere and tried to take Jay away we all got to know the truth behind everything. I divorced her right away.

Everyone was ashamed of Zen's doing and she showed as if she
was too. Maybe she was but after that I never believed her. Her parents abandoned her and Jay didn't want to live without his mother. So I let her stay with us. As Jay's mother nothing else.

I love Jay a lot. It doesn't matter if he is my child or not, I just love him. He was the only person that brought some happiness in me in those merciless years. I tried to find you not because l found out about Jay, I was searching for you a long time before. But I couldn't find you. You just vanished. "

Jungkook let out everything he has been holding in his chest. He has been dying to tell you. You look at him understanding every word he says. You feel a pang in your chest after seeing the pull of tears in his
eyes. " Life was really unfair that time wasn't it ", you said " It really was" he nodded smiling painfully.

"I want to meet Zen ", you said, making Jungkook stop smiling but he agreed. "Wait here, I'm going to let my family know then I'm coming ". you said and went inside. Jungkook would be lying if he said his heart didn't clench at the Word " my family " but what else can he
do? You can't cry over a man who left you after al.

At Jungkook's house :

Both of you stood in front of the door as finally someone opened the door. You see a woman in your age smiling at Jungkook but soon her smile fades away as soon as she sees you. She is indeed Zen. You couldn't recognize her. She doesn't look like the same cheerful beautiful girl you used to know 35 years ago.

Instead she looks like someone who is in pain. Someone who's heart is
shattered. " You won't invite me in ?" You asked, bringing her back from her thoughts. She let you come in. " I will let you two have your own time ", said Jungkook and went upstairs immediately.

You can't understand the look Zen is giving you. Look of grief, hatred, guilt or the look of shame. There's so much hidden in there trying to escape yet hesitant. " How have you been Zen ?" You asked and without any word she pulled you into a bone crushing hug.

" I'm so sorry" she cried out loud. You didn't hug her back and you were not  planning on doing so too.
" I'm so sorry for everything. I'm so sorry y/n ", she never stopped hugging you instead her grip on you became stronger than before as she kept on sobbing hard. " And that's it "? was the only thing
left from your mouth.

"I couldn't help it. I couldn't watch him look the way he used to. I couldn't witness him loving that way ", she burst out. " Like what ", you asked and she looked at you painfully before speaking " like you were everything he has ever   wanted. I know Jungkook must have said everything. I don't know
what else to say other than sorry ", she said and you can see it in her eyes that she meant every word.

" He is not mine, " she said, and I don't think he ever will be. I have done my best which was worst for everyone. I did wrong. But couldn't help but imagine being close enough to feel his breath on mine and his skin on my skin, but this
never happened. I ruined his life, his hopes and the most precious thing, his heart. He never loved me. Never gave rights as his wife. Yet after all this time I still love him. And I guess this is the result of my sins, that no matter what do he will never love me. And I know that I deserve it, " she said looking at
you sadly.

" I'm too old to hold grudges. Maybe
that's because I moved on with my life. I hope you do too. I just wanted to see you again and wanted to hear you. And I'm glad that you got to understand your faults. It's been so many years of Jungkook's suffering and I know you deserve the pain you went through so I won't console you for that. But i hope now, you let him free from every boundary because he won't be able to get hurt more because of you ". you said and walked away to find Jungkook.

"I think should leave now Jungkook "you said as soon as you entered his
room. " You don't want to stay a litte
longer?" He asked. " No, I want to go home" you said and he nodded. You gave Zen one last glance before exiting the house.

'She is too forgiving. She forgives
people who don't deserve anything. But I love her the way she is. And I will continue loving her, only her ", Jungkook said before exiting without even looking at Zen for a second.

Zeha ran to Jungkook as soon as he
saw him. " How was your homework "?he asked. " It was good Joana helped me a lot ", Ilitte Zeha said giving Joana a tight smile which she replied. " Come on time tomorrow. Don't you dare to be late
", Joana threatened and Zeha
immediately nodded.

"We should get going then. See you
tomorrow?" Jungkook said most likely asked while looking at you. " See you tomorrow ". you said, giving him the most beautiful smile you could ever have, making his heart flutter and skip so many beats. He nodded and gave you one last look before going.
