It was now after school and I was leaning against my locker.

I was basically just spacing out.

I was so tired and just wanted to go home.

But, Lucas was very argumentative and probably wouldn't let me leave.

I caught someone familiar walking the hallways and i spoke up.

"Hey thomas."

He turned around and looked at me.

He adjusted his backpack scrap on his shoulder. "Sup hart. How's..you and Lucas, eh?"

I rolled my eyes. He didn't even know my first name.

"My name is Maya. And fine..."

My voice trailed off after that.

Thomas let out a smirk, sounding a lot like Lucas.

"Well, the week is almost over. And I'm planning on seeing 100 dollars on Friday."

I raised my eyebrows. "Are you...threatening me?"

Thomas was about to speak when he saw Lucas turn the corner.

He then just ran away from the scene.

Wow. What a wimp.

Lucas approached me and glanced in that direction. "What's up with him?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know. Let's just go."

We both started walking out of the hallways.

Turns out Lucas lived really close to the school.

I had forgotten about that. It's been awhile since I've been to his house.

Yeah, I used to go to his house all the time in elementary school.

"Maya?" I heard a voice say.

I stopped walking. I must've spaced out again.

"Yes?" I said, getting back to reality.

Lucas didn't say anything except, "we are here."

I nodded and looked at the house. It was a one story.

Lucas has been really quiet around me...it's bugging me.

"What happened to being so...clingy to me?" I said, trying to find the right word.

Lucas reached for inside his backpack. "I was never clingy."

I started laughing. "Yeah right."

Lucas didn't laugh. No facial expression whatsoever.

He opened the front door and stepped inside.

I followed him, suddenly hitting my head on the top of the door.

"Ow." I said aloud.

Lucas turned around. "I forgot to tell you. Duck when you come in."

I raised an eyebrow. "A few seconds late, but thanks."

I started walking into the living room to see nobody was here.

It looked just like my apartment.

"Doesn't your grandma live here?"

Lucas nodded. "Yeah. She must be at one of her appointments right now."

"Oh."

It was silent again.

I didn't understand this awkward silence...

I stopped in the living room and stopped some pictures.

I glanced at all of them for a few seconds.

I was probably being nosy, but Lucas did the same thing at my house.

My eye suddenly saw a familiar picture.

I picked it up gently and looked at it.

I then turned around to lucas, who was watching me curiously.

"I can't believe you kept this." I said, holding up the picture.
