Maya's POV:
Once I got to school, the warning bell rang.

We got here later than we usually do.

I ran to my locker and quickly grabbed out my books.

I started walking towards my first period.

I sighed aloud. Why did my first period have to be chemistry?

I walked in the classroom to see Lucas on the clear other side of the room.

He caught sight of me and motioned me to come over.

I slowly walked over, hearing smirks from classmates.

I approached him and crossed my arms. "What do you want?"

"to sit with my girlfriend?" He said in the most obvious tone.

My face turned red and said, "I'm not your girlfriend."

Lucas sat back in his chair. "You are now."

I groaned as the final bell rang and our teacher came in the room.

Lucas might have earned some respect from me from telling me the truth but he still annoys me.

We sat down listening to our teacher ms. Smith.

I wasn't really paying attention though.

I looked down at our strolls and the table we were sharing.

Our chairs were close. Too close.

I slowly scooted away, making a loud noise against the tile.

Ms. Smith stopped talking and looked in my direction.

"Ms hart are you paying attention?" She said sternly.

"Uh..."

"What did I explain to the class earlier?" She interuppted me.

I played with my fingers. "I don't know. Sorry."

She just sighed and got back to teaching.

"We will be starting our semester chemistry project." Ms smith announced.

Everybody in the class groaned loudly.

Ms smith continued. "You'll be partners with the person next to you right now."

You've got to be joking.

I sent Lucas a glance and he smiled at me.

"You planned all this didn't you?"

Lucas nodded. "Yes ma'am."

The bell rang and I stood up from my seat.

Lucas caught up to me as I went to my second period.

"I'm walking with you." He said.

I pretended to look shocked. "Wow Lucas friar going to class? Is this real?"

Lucas smirked. "I'm only doing this for you, baby doll."

I glared at him. "Call me that again and you won't see tomorrow."

Lucas continued to smirk his signature smirk. "Harsh. But hot. Nice."

People around us looked at us and my face flushed.

"Lucas can you shut up."

The warning bell rang and I picked up the pace.

I have a feeling this morning is gonna be very long.

~~~~~~~
Lucas continued to sit by me.
In. Every. Single. Class.
I swear the guy doesn't know the definition of "personal space"
It was finally lunchtime and I found my usual lunch table.
Lucas was finally not with me for the first time the entire day.
I've never felt so free.
"So how's it going?" Thomas asked Lucas.
Lucas leaned against the lockers. "Good. Chemistry partners."
Thomas raised his eyebrows. "Nice. But you're still losing."
Lucas stood up. "I wouldn't be too sure about that."
"And why not?"
"Because I used the feel bad card on her."
Thomas groaned. "That works every time damn."
Lucas nodded but didn't say anything else.
For some reason, he felt bad.
Bad for lying.
