Okay part 4/5 of this story!! For the final friend, I chose Callahan, and I hope you like it. It's one of my favourites so far. A big thank you to my Beta Reader, and to everyone reading. Make sure you guys stay hydrated, have a great rest of your week :)

A Broken Silence- Callahan

Sun was shining through the windows of Ponk's favourite place as though it was there just to comfort him, and him only. He knew it wasn't natural, and he'd told the admin off before for using his powers for something so small, but at the same time it felt somewhat nice. Especially today. It offered Ponk a reason to be skipping around his home with energy he normally saved up for the weekends. Today was a Tuesday morning, at a time that Ponk would typically still be sleeping until Sam called him to wake him up. You see, Ponk was a child at heart, and he had no shame in admitting so. It was what made him so charming and endearing, after all. He wore a wide grin on his face as his mask annoyingly gritted against his teeth. As a child, it was his sworn duty to make sure his friends had to deal with said child-like behaviour, despite its good intentions. And today, it was Callahan's turn to be roped into it. All around Ponk's small home were little streamers in blue and red, confetti scattered around the floor from an accidental launch of a confetti cannon. In his defence, it had been an accident! He was just walking around, and then he wanted to make sure it worked, and then it..well then he checked to see if it worked. Okay looking back on it Ponk would admit that was not his brightest moment, but he has had worse. He had about twenty minutes before Callahan was supposed to arrive, but knowing his friend he would arrive early. Hence the reason he had already pretty well prepared everything he needed, including a semi-cool banner that he had illustrated himself with surprisingly decent handwriting. Ponk grinned, a sense of warmth surrounding him as he looked at his most recent messages.

You whisper to Callahan: Are you excited for today (:

Callahan whispers to you: Depends. I still don't know what I am in for.

You whisper to Callahan: Fun?

Callahan whispers to you: That question mark concerns me.

You whisper to Callahan: Fun!

Callahan whispers to you: It's too late to fix what you have done, Ponk.

You whisper to Callahan: It will be fun, I promise :D

You whisper to Callahan: Please come?

Callahan whispers to you: I never said I wasn't going to come. No matter how much you cause me to second guess our relationship, I would not ghost you.

You whisper to Callahan: :)

Callahan whispers to you: See you soon, Ponk.

Callahan whispers to you: :D

Ponk couldn't help the fond sensation that rushed from his head to his toes. Trust Callahan to speak in such a formality. Who uses punctuation in texts? If someone does, it's either your mum, or someone is pissed off with you. Or it's Callahan.

Okay, so, you are probably wondering what is this occasion that has the lemon knook littered in cohesive colours and smelling of a burnt cake that is now tossed into the yard. Ponk scrunched his nose and went over to the kitchen to roll down a window. The smell of burning cake batter was not as pleasant as logic would make you think it would be. Ponk hummed as he grabbed onto the lever and rolled it clockwise. Idiotically his first instinct was to just toss the cake right outside said window. Because that would work. Ponk groaned internally at his own stupidity. Anyway, back on topic he supposed. He and Callahan had been friends for four years now, and to Ponk, four was more important than five. Four meant that you had surpassed the trial period, it was the time when you finally knew that the other wasn't just going to leave you on the curbside after stomping on your subway's sandwich just because you said something on accident. It was the time where you could get into a fight, and still remain friends. It was the point in a relationship where you honestly could just be content with one another. Hence, Ponk's natural instinct, to celebrate.
