I remember the warm embrace that you give
despite the humid summer.
How we'd laugh at how uncomfortable it is
yet we still prefer being wrapped in each other.I remember your back
how my mood changes from blah to cheery
How you'd turn and smile and say
you're glad to finally see meI remember you wearing red
and I'd always say it's my fave
How you'd hold my hand and say you love me
and with me you'd always stayI remember the first time we stood in the rain,
you were the happiest I've seen.
We walked down the street telling never-ending stories
of magic and the serene.I remember so many moments
yet the shadows now won't reveal the moon.
They made all the happy moments only illusions,
and hope be shattered soon.I remember remembering,
it was so easy with our heads up in the clouds.
Now neither of us wants to touch the memories
held in this box with thorns around.*
