Nancy's POV

After we found the gate, we tuned into the frequency that Hopper was on and we told him that we found it.

Soon after, Hopper was at the field and we were investigating the gate.

"This one is smaller than the last one, so it will be easier to close, but we're gonna need to get it out of Robin first and we need to get it done as soon as possible, before she gets too evil" Hopper said to Steve and I.

Eddie was icing his head with the ice Hopper brought for him and Robin was standing next to him, trying to take the ice.

At dinner that night, Robin got really weird. She started opening the windows in the house while saying "He likes it cold".

Will could tell that it was taking over her even quicker than it did with him and we needed to act fast.

Robin was sweating and her pupils were dilated, it definitely wasn't her in there.

We put Robin in the bathroom in the care of Argyle, Jonathan and Mike while the rest of us stayed in the kitchen to form a plan.

"Okay, so we need to put her somewhere she doesn't recognize and we need to burn it out of her, meanwhile, El needs to close the gate" Joyce explained.

Suddenly, the front door burst open and in walked Dustin, Max, Erica and Lucas.

"So, are we doing it yet?" Dustin asked.

"You left your walkie on" Max explained, we turned around to see battery sitting on the 'talk' button.

"You kids need to go home, we have this under control" Steve said, as if he was their mother.

"Actually, we need help disguising the bedroom" Hopper added and soon everyone was taping newspaper to the walls, heating up the house and unplugging things that made noise.

Once we were finished, we brought Robin into the room and she was absolutely rabid. She looked like she was losing it.

Jonathan chained her down and turned the lights off. Everyone was there except for El and Hopper, they had gone to the gate.

We wanted to see if she was still in there, so we used the interrogation method again to distract her while the house heated up.

Steve was up first "Hey, Rob. Do you remember me?"

She shook her head.

"You don't remember being trapped in an elevator for 24 hours with Dustin, Erica and I" He continued "As horrible as it was, it really brought me closer to you and I'm glad that it happened" He started to tear up.

"Robin, you're my best friend and I love you so much, I can't lose you, I don't even know if you can hear me, but if you can, please come back to me. I need you"

And with that, he broke down and Eddie ran to his side.

It was Max, Lucas and Dustin's turns next.

"Robin, I don't know if you remember me, but we're neighbours and you're probably one of my best friends. Don't you remember that time when I brought over food and we ended up spending the night watching horror movies so we wouldn't have to be alone? It's one of my best memories and I'm glad it's with you" Max smiled.

"Hey, Rob. The first time I met you, was at Scoops Ahoy! God, I miss that place. We had so much fun cracking that code and when it comes down to it, you cracked the code not Steve or I. What I'm trying to say is, you're the smartest person I've ever met and you're gonna get through this" Dustin looked content.

"Hey. It's Lucas. I know we don't know each other very well, but I think think you're pretty cool. Of course, you do freak out sometimes... but it's hilarious. The first thing that I ever heard you say was something about some girl's bone being torn out of her leg and it made absolutely no sense and the timing was completely off, but it was funny. You're just a really weirdly distracting person and I hope we get to hang out more soon" Lucas said.

Erica went next.

"Hey, I've never said this to anyone, but... I look up to you, Robin. You're like the older sister I never got. And I'm so glad you kept me from eating that green goop, because if I did, I wouldn't be able to be your friend and that would be really shitty" Erica kept it nice and short.

"Hey, man. I know that we like just met or whatever but you're super rad and I like living with you" Argyle added.

"Yeah, same here, I'm glad that you're part of the family, now I have a sibling the same age as me who has the same interests and I'm very lucky for you" Jonathan told Robin.

Robin hadn't said a word the entire time and she didn't look like she would for a while.

"Hey Rob, it's Eddie. I don't really know what to say. I'm knew to this whole monster world, and I never thought that something like this was possible. But turns out... it is, and I'm just happy you were there to lighten the mood and crack jokes when I was about to shit my pants. You really make life easier for everyone and we thank you" Eddie was also almost crying.

The house was definitely getting extra hot at this point and everyone was grabbing ice from the freezer to put on their foreheads

"Hey, Robin. It's Mike. We've had like a total of two conversations, but they were pretty good conversations. You make things lighter and listening to you rant is mesmerizing... like how can someone talk that fast? Anyways, I couldn't ask for a better sibling for El and Will and I'm glad that you're living with them now" Mike surprisingly said.

"Hey honey, it's me, Joyce. I've only known you for a little while, but I couldn't ask for a better addition to this complicated family. You make everything hilarious and watching you be yourself is the best thing I could ask for" Joyce smiled with tears rolling down her face.

"It's me. Will. You're my sister, whether you want to be or not. I know that it's scary right now, but you will get through it and we can get better together. You're all that I could ask for from an older sister" Will said to her.

The house was now boiling and everybody was ready to stand outside in the melting snow.

"I guess it's my turn, huh?" I asked.

I stepped forward and started.

"Robin Buckley. You are the number one best thing that has ever happened to me. If you asked me a year ago who I thought I would be with, I probably would've said a man" This shocked everyone, I knew Robin had wanted to tell them and she really didn't care how they found out so here it was.

"You're going to get through this and then we can finally go on that date and we can be just like we wanted. No more curses or interruptions. I want to be with you no matter what happens" Tears started falling down my face.

"You are my best friend and I don't know what I ever did with out you. You make my life so chaotic and I love it. I love you. There. I said it. I fucking love you and I don't care who knows, I'm gonna scream it from the god damn roof tops. I don't believe in a higher power, but I do believe it soulmates. And you, Robin Buckley, are my soulmate" I was full on crying at this point, but I didn't care.

Her eyes suddenly flashed normal and I heard a raspy voice say "I love you, Nancy Wheeler" before black veins started growing all along her neck and chest.

"It's working!" Steve yelled.
