• Chapter eight •

A/N- Sorry I haven't updated for a few days, I've been camping :/. Also, volume 2 is so sad. I'm going to continue with the idea I already had even though it didn't happen in volume 2. There may be a few things from volume 2 in here though, so this is your warning. Also I'm listening to Maya Hawke's (Robin) new song "Thérèse" on repeat while writing this and it's so fucking good. This is also Robin's POV. Anyways, I hope you enjoy :)

I woke up alone on the couch. Nancy must've already gotten up. So, I figured I should get up too.

I walked into the kitchen to see Steve and Eddie messing around while making eggs for everyone and Nancy sitting down, drinking coffee.

I sat down next to Nancy "Jesus, they're like children" I laughed and snapped her out of her trance. She must've been zoned out.

"Haha, yeah" she chuckled but I could tell something was off.

"Hey.. you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah... I'm just worried" she answered as I furrowed my eyebrows "like what if you don't make it, what's going to happen then?"

"Nothing's going to happen to me, Nance. Everything's going to be okay" I reassured her, getting up and wrapping my arms around her from behind.

"BREAKFAST, BITCHES" Eddie yelled into the living room, scaring everyone awake.

Once everyone had sat down and started eating, Dustin stood up and explained the plan.

"Okay, so, Eddie, Steve and Lucas, You guys will go into the upside down and wait by the playground across the street from the Creel house. Erica and I will hopefully be able to distract the demobats and when we're done, we'll meet you guys at the playground. Once we're there, we'll run into the house and distract Vecna. When he's not looking, you three will break in and attack him from behind" He explained.

"Excuse me, asshole, what are we supposed to do?" Max asked pointing at Nancy and I.

"You three stay behind, because he's already gotten into your minds once before" Steve said, putting his hand on his hip.

"Uhmm, no way douchebag. I don't know about them, but I'm not going to stay behind while you guys get yourselves killed because Dustin can't make a decent plan, it's a suicide mission" I practically yelled at Steve.

"There is no way I'm letting you do that Rob, I can't lose you" Steve said, pointing at me.

"Steve, I'm not going to let you kill yourself" I started yelling.

"Robin, you're my best friend, I can't let you go to the upside down" Steve whispered.

"What if she doesn't go into the upside down?" Nancy asked.

"What do you mean, Wheeler?" Eddie said biting his lip.

"Well, what if we use her as bait. Like what if we distract Vecna with her" Nancy said "the moment she starts floating, I'll put the headphones on her"

"No, I'm not risking that" Steve practically yelled.

"It's the only way for you to live, Steve" Max said, calmly.

"Steve, I can do this, I'm not going to die" I hugged him.

"Fine, but the moment you float is the moment you get out of there" Steve whispered, hugging me back.

"Okay so new plan... Dustin and Erica kill the bats. Lucas, Steve and I go into the house, Robin distracts him and then we kill him." Eddie said.

"No way, I'm not just going to sit around while Nancy and Robin do their thing." Max said.

"Max, you can tell us when Vecna gets Robin. You sit by the playground and use a flashlight to communicate with Nance and us. After we kill him, you can call 911 if needed" Dustin said.

"No, I need to go into the upside down" Max stated. "Erica can alert you guys"

"I'm cool with that" Erica said.

"Okay fine, but you're going to listen to music the entire time" Steve demanded.

Okay so, short chapter but I'm going to write more today. Also, this is going to be a lot more like volume 2 then I thought. So major spoilers ahead. I hope you enjoy :)
