He tried to run away from the lurking shadows
Those which stained this colorful world with bleak darkness
Though he tried to run, they were like his fellows
Following him around, swallowing every colorful thing and all brightness

He tried to fend them off with the holy light from the sun
The light which gave us all hope and confidence as the day began
But the light he saw as hope was something he should have shuned
For the light on his body, gave birth to the shadows of this trembling man

Then he stopped running away and accepted them as a friend
Went into the dull bleakness and masked himself in black
For not wanted to grey the colorful day, in which he couldn't blend
But in the dark, those shadows disappeared without leaveing a track

And so he stayed there, where he belongs, that is in the sorrowful dark
Alone with his noble mind burning as a bleak grey spark
