The Missed Fish

Many other fish in the sea says the sailor

But the missed fish tends to be bigger

And in my case,I'm like the old man in that story

Who tried to catch a whale with a canopy

May be my fishing rod of passion wasn't quite strong

Or my reel of bonds wasn't quite long

But I can tell you my hook of love had enough confidence

To hook you,the biggest whale with the lure of my innocence

So you broke free after you've consumed my lure

And me who couldn't accept it still feeling it unsure

But when I saw you caught by the whaling ships

Which had been terminating your kind with never-ending trips

For them, you are just another prey they would surely regain

For me,your catch would have ended me from sailing again
