A/N: So, this chapter is dedicated to @PartyWriting ; my amazing friend Elsie! She encouraged me to start this story, so you know, I kind of had to. Anyway, here goes...

The small window was pressed up against my face. In a way, the window and my face were similar; both water-stained yet neither showing any emotion. I wanted the plane journey to end as soon as possible, but, as i'm one of the most unlucky people in the world, I had only been on the one-hour flight for around 10 minutes.

Thoughts were spinning around my head; What had gone wrong? Why did this happen?

The remaining images of my home back in Mullingar were becoming clouded already. I didn't even know where I was moving to. Well, I knew, but I'd never heard of it before.

Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England... What kind of name is that for a town?

I'd be moving in with my Uncle, Simon. Yet another family member I'd never met. Apparently he was strict... But I don't think that anyone could be as strict as my dad, Bobby.

Why couldn't I move with my family? Why did I have to go on my own? Why do I have to go and live with a stranger when they stayed at home and continued to live their normal everyday lives?

Tears started to form in my eyes. No god no, Niall. Don't start crying. Not again.

I slowly dragged out my phone, unlocking it and looking at my most recent message.

From: Greg Horan

To: Niall Horan

Look, buddy, I'm sorry about all of this that's happened recently. But I have to agree with mum and dad; you moving away will be best for you... and us, in the long run. I hope I'll get the chance to see you again soon bro.

Talk soon kid x

I think i'll miss Greg most of all out of all my family. He's an amazing brother to have, seriously. He's probably my one true friend. Possibly my only friend who I can trust with everything.

I quickly replied, saying how i'd miss him and the rest of the family, before sliding the phone back into my pocket and curling up in an attempt to get some sleep on the short flight.

I dropped onto the bed in my new - extremely bare - room in the strange house. Simon had been stood at the airport waiting for me, holding a sign which read "Bobby's Son from Mullingar". I'd questioned it on the way home, and learnt that he didn't even know that he had a Nephew. My dad likes to keep things to himself, he'd always been the same, so it didn't come as a suprise to me.

A noise near my door drew me back out of my thoughts, and I looked up to see... Uncle?.. Simon timidly sticking his head around the door.

"Tea in 5 mate," was all he said, looking at me.

I mumbled a reply, and he left, closing the door softly behind him. Finally; an adult that closes doors!

I peeled myself off the bed, walking over to the one thing I had bothered to unpack; my mirror. I looked into it, dragging my fingers through my dyed-blonde hair, before attempting to create somesort of style with it. Once i'd created something which made me look presentable, I trudged through to my personal bathroom and splashed cold water over my pale face. Well... I needed something to keep me awake, didn't I?

I slowly, taking a step at a time, walked down the stairs, stopping at the dining room door, dreading the either long conversation or awkward silence which would occour once I was on the other side...

A/N: Hey Guys! So, I actually got somewhat stressed over this chapter; I mean, it's the first chapter, I have to keep you entertained! I struggle to write the opening chapters to stories, as do most people, so once again, it's a bit short, but whatever, yeah. They WILL get longer, I promise! And...

I PUBLISHED EARLIER THAN I EXPECTED. Even if it is rubbish.

Stay Cool,

S x
