"Gelatin. Seriously?" I said as I stared at the pack of gummies in front of me.

I was going grocery shopping and came across an interesting looking kind of candy.

"How do the ones I want to get always have gelatin in them?" I sighed.

I wanted to get some snacks I could eat for suhur since ramadan started in two days. I knew that unhealthy snacks weren't the best when you have to eat at around 3 am, but they're so hard to resist.

This would be the first Ramadan away from my hometown, I'll be away from my relatives and I wouldn't be able to have suhur and iftar with all of them. I decided it was okay though because I got to pursue my dream of training to be a hero, and besides, I have my mother and father to celebrate Ramadan with.

I went up to the cashier and payed for my groceries. While I started walking home I noticed a small shop, owned by some Muslims who were selling henna. I decided to buy a couple tubes and do my henna for Ramadan.

"Here you go." I said as I handed her my money.

"Jazakullahu khayran." She replied with a smile.

When I got home and put the groceries away, I noticed my mom struggling to bring a box upstairs.

"Do you need help?"

"Yes please." She replied.

"What's in it anyway?"

"Oh, just last minute Ramadan decorations. Can you hang them up while I cook dinner?"

"Of course, I'll just pray dhuhr real quick."

I prayed dhuhr and returned to the decorations until I got a couple notifications.

Kaminari: Anyone get 17 on the math homework? I don't get it.

Iida: Homework should be done by yourself, you can use the help of others if you want to understand it. But sharing answers is not allowed.

Kaminari: Ok, but I still need the answer for 17.

Tsu: I got 2.4 x 10^-4

Kaminari: I'm gonna pretend I understand that 👍🏼

I chuckled at the messages and put my phone aside.

"Y/n!" I heard my mom call.

"Can you get the mail?! I can't leave the stove right now!" She yelled form downstairs.

"Okay, I'm coming!" I replied.

I went outside to grab the mail and one of the letters caught my eye. It had two tickets to my home town for tonight.

Did we get someone else's mail?

"Um.. Why do we have these?" I said walking into the house.

"Have what?" My father said before turning around.

"Oh.." He said.

"Oh..? Oh what?" I replied

My mom turned around and froze. "We wanted to tell you before, but we didn't know how. I'm sorry."

"Tell me what? I'm confused." I said.

"We're going to our hometown for Ramadan. I'm sorry habibti, but we couldn't stay away from our relatives in such a holy month." She said, her head cast down.

"Wait but I have training, I can't leave. Plus there are only two tickets." I replied.

"That's because.. you're not coming." My father pitched in.
