The other Angel nodded defeatedly.

,,Now, we found the thief slash killer, dropped him back off from where we picked him up-"

,,That was you? Of course it was! Wow, all of this makes so much sense now. That guy was absolutely terrified! He confessed without us having to even ask him. You showed him your face, didn't you?"

Lucifer agreed. ,,Precisely, and I don't regret it. He deserved to be punished. But what is much more interesting, it seems like we were a perfect crime solving duo already back then. Even without having met." He grinned proudly at her.

,,I guess that's just who we are, isn't it?"

She kissed him on his cheek and then dived into a passionate one on his lips.

,,Awww, you guys are so frickin adorable you know that?" Azrael spoke up, having followed the whole story without interrupting until now.

,,I know, right, Rae Rae?" Ella chimed in.

Lucifer - who had now leaned into Chloe once again - chuckled in amusement.

,,You two really should start some kind of fan club for us."

,,I'm pretty sure you got a lot of fans all around the universe...wait, I had one question for that, is our universe like the only one or does the multiverse exist?"

,,We are indeed living in a multiverse, Miss Lopez. But I don't know the specifics as to how all of them look like.

Since there are endless possibilities, I assume that there is a universe for each one."

That made Lucifer think. Could they solve their little problem together with other versions of themselves? Maybe they had gone through the same debacle already and had some ideas.

,,Wow, that's amazing. I mean, I always believed there was one, but to know for sure..."

Lucifer nodded. ,,Yes, it's quite astonishing, isn't it? To think about it. What could have been and what might come, how much one simple act could change an entire timeline and create a new universe..."

Now Gabriel chimed in. ,,Yeah, you know, I was on some of the other earths already! They're pretty awesome! But some are also really boring."

,,As interesting as this conversation is, shouldn't we get back to the real story? I know time is frozen, but I don't think we all could stay awake for so long." Linda had spoken up.

Ella protested. ,,Oh, I totally could!"

The Devil agreed exitedly. ,,Yes, Doctor. I could too, regardless of celestials not having to sleep. This is much more interesting, don't you think? Not as interesting as talking about Bones, of course."

,,Yes, Lucifer. I know you love talking about your favourite topics and I know you could go on for weeks, but we really should focuse on why we're here."

He sighed defeatedly. ,,Alright...alright. So, long story short, in the end I went back here and cashed in the favour. To stay.

Amenadiel wasn't happy about that, but it would have been a sin to break his oath. So he had to let me.

And this is how Nico's became LUX." Lucifer didn't want to go further in the story, but Chloe noticed there was a part he was hiding.

The Angel tried to avoid eye contact, more that usually.

,,Please, Detective. Let's not talk about it, it's way back in the past now. And not mention, it's far from the only time I cut them off. Back then the little bastards grew back again and again. It was more than annoying, let me tell you."

He let out a little chuckle, but then realized everyone was staring at him. And not in the good way.

He really shouldn't have told them that.
