it was early morning, and there was a light breeze. one that made Mercy actually put on a jacket instead of fanning herself with her hand like she had done the past few days.

"boy, there's got a gang, 30 men," Daryl announces sauntering over to the camp. "They have heavy artillery and aren't looking to make friends." The group decided to get information out of him while they had the chance, so they knew who they were up against if they do come back for him

"They roll through here, our boys are dead. and our women, they're gonna- they're gonna wish they were." He finished, glancing around at each person.

Mercy's eyes landed on Daryl's hand, where there was a large splatter of blood.

"you okay?" The teen asks quietly. Daryl looks down at his hand,

"Not my blood," He said walking past the group and to his own area. Mercy huffed lightly,

"no one goes near this guy," Rick announces. Mercy stands up, slapping her thighs,

"Wasnt planning on it," She says to herself.

"Rick?" Lori calls as the sheriff begins to walk away. he turns back to his wife, "What are you going to do?" She asks softly. Rick shakes his head,

"He's a threat," He says simply, "We have to deal with the threat," He announces. the small group that had been formed glosses over with confusion,

"So you're just gonna kill him?" Dale asks, his brows furrowed. Rick nods,

"It's settled, I'll do it later today," Rick announced. Mercy just shrugged and walked away, she didn't care what they did to this guy, as long as everyone was safe. killing one stranger for the safety of a dozen is trade mercy is willing to make.

Mercy sat in the kitchen cutting up some vegetables to help make lunch. Edith was with her, boiling some water and cutting up some vegetables as well. Mercy didn't know what they were making exactly, she just wanted to be helpful.

"what are we making again," Mercy asked quietly. The Greene sister looked up. she smiled and shook her head,

"I honestly don't know. I kinda make it up as I go," She said setting her knife down and looking in the pantry, "We've got, chicken, broth, corn- that sounds good actually," She lists off, grabbing the can of corn in front of her.
