When Velvet awoke that morning, He left himself stay within the soft embrace of his bed. Knowing that he had work to finish nagged at him. He felt that if he weren't in this position would he even have to wake up and leave his room at all? Perhaps not. Though Velvet cherished his current life, If he had the choice to live another 50 lives he would choose a different path each time. Stuck in his own world of imagination he Sighed. Drawing his arm over his eyes as he kicked the sheets off of himself.
A soft knock caught the young master's attention, Listening for anything more before speaking up. "I'm awake, What is it that you desire? At this time?" He questioned trying his best to sound knowledgeable, Pulling his arm back to his side as he pushed himself up and off of his bed. "Ah! May I enter?" Their voice asked from outside of the room. "You may enter, mind that I haven't changed into my Propper clothes." Velvet replied simply, He felt way too tired to change now, but it was way too late in the day to keep in the same clothes any longer. Watched as the door opened, Laika stepped inside of his room.
Velvet could only look at the other as he awaited his words, Taking note of how Laika's Clothes were neat and tidy. They matched the colors of his room quite nicely. The muted blue hues of the walls behind the other man seemed to complement the black Corset he wore with a light green undershirt, buttoned all the way up to the collar. "M' Lord, Your parents have requested your presence in the sitting room. It seemed to be pretty important." Laika mentioned, Giving the young master a small bow. Smiling as he stood near the door.
"I understand, Laika. Could you be a dear and pick an outfit for me today?" Velvet asked, He liked the way this friend of his managed to make anything match with other things. He was quite the outfit maker. To which Velvet had to give him credit every time someone was to compliment him on it. "Yes, yes! It seems to be a daily thing for me to do, So I had already prepared an outfit for you. It's right on the left side of your dresser." He replied in a cheerful tone, Pointing to the dresser that sat on the left side of the room in the corner.
Velvet could only nod, Walking over to his dresser. He grabbed the clothes and held them so they wouldn't get too unfolded to the point where they would be harder to carry. He turned around and glanced over at Laika who only pointed towards the Bathroom door again on the left side of the room. Velvet felt quite stupid for needing to be directed that morning. He blushed out of embarrassment before leaving the room; Getting changed in the bathroom as the others waited for his appearance. It had always made Laika happy to see the look on the young master's face as he thanked him for his service each morning. Every day it only felt more and more comforting, Welcoming even. He never thought of himself falling for the other but he had been for a long while now.
Despite this when Velvet walked out into the room once more, A small smile on his face as he walked toward Laika. "Thank you, You've been a great help this morning." Laika Smiled in return taking the young master's hand in his, leading him down the long hallway and down the stairs that seemed to complete the main hall in the center. The peak of the beauty of the mansion.
When the two boys reached the sitting room, Laika let go of the lord's hand. Bowing as he stood near the entrance to the room. He awaited another command or order. Velvet had walked into the room and sat across from his parents, who sat seated on a grey sofa. "Good morning, Mother and father dearest." Velvet started.
"Good morning, Velvet. -- And you to Laika." Velvet's mother spoke, Brushing her hair out of her face as she waved her hand.
"Ahem- Son, Me and your mother have something important to address. We feel you are ready to know about this, Along with your closest butler, Laika." Velvet's father began, Puaseing mid-sentence before continuing. "Velvet, You are aware of your role as soon as your mother and I retire; With that comes something we forgot to mention back then. It comes with marriage You will be meeting a girl from the eastern side of the state. She comes from quite a wealthy family, with a big reputation."

"It would be best for the family, And for you that is. It would help your personal reputation as well as the business you will carry. She'll be here in two weeks or so. Until then you'll be getting ready for her arrival." His parents didn't let him speak. He sat there dumbfounded. He never thought that he would be forced to get married to someone he didn't even know. He nodded in response to it once more. It felt wrong to him to be forced into it.
"My lady, n' My lord? how long will they have to learn more about each other before the wedding?" Laika asked, Seeming to read Velvet's mind then and there. Velvet had nearly let out a sigh of relief; But he had to stay complex, sitting with the upmost "perfect" posture. "The both of them will have six, To seven months to adjust to each other. The quicker they adjust the better." His mother replied. The only thing Velvet kept in his mind was the amount of time. What if he wanted to reject? Would he be forced to? or would he be kicked to the dirt by another person? He didn't know, And it scared him.
It was then that only for a moment, Velvet looked down at his hand his vision changed, and he could no longer speak or feel like he could. A red thread was tied around his finger, twirled up and around his hand and around his arm a few times. Why could he never feel it before he thought? Being brought back to reality when his name was called again. His vision snapped back to normal, and he felt that he could Speak again. Though he sat in silence; nodding again. It was strange. Yet he never questioned the events. Velvet just simply thought that he was still tired, He hadn't even eaten breakfast that morning. That could have tied in with his strange experience.
"Velvet, You're dismissed. Please see to your writing practice." His father mentioned, Getting up. He held out a hand to his wife. the two had left the room shortly after. Leaving the Two boys in the sitting room alone at the time.

Clearly, Velvet was distressed about the situation, as all of his feelings had unraveled as soon as his parents had left the room and the door was closed behind them. Gripping onto his pants as he looked down at his shoes. Laika sighed, shuffling over to him and kneeling down before him. He reached a hand up to the tensed boy's shoulder, Gripping onto him firmly. "Velvet, there's no need to worry. You have enough time to learn more about her. Her grace, Ebony surely is to be a delightful girl." Laika mentioned, Shaking the other's attention to him.
"Laika, I'm not all too worried about that... I'm more worried about if I have a choice to decline, Or if it's set in stone." Velvet muttered worry lacing his words as if he were going to cry then and there. Laika shook his head, letting his hair fall off of his shoulders.
"Velvet, If you don't have the choice; You can talk it out with Her grace, and your Parents. Surely they'll understand where your coming from. " Laika tried to calm the other boy.
Velvet felt vulnerable, using his arm to wipe the tears from his eyes and shaking himself before nodding. He smiled as Laika backed up and allowed him to stand. "Thank you..." Velvet murmured. "Anything for the young master, Heir of the residency." He smiled in return. Slowly walking over to the door. he placed his hand on the handle and opened the door motioning for Velvet to follow. Again there was still work that had to be done. With all this gloomy and stressful atmosphere it certainly wouldn't help him.
