𝕾irius groaned, immediately wincing at the searing pain in his head, huffing to himself as he tried to remember what had happened and why he felt like he had a massive hangover like he did when he drank his life away when he was having a bad day. Quidditch he remembered, though it was slightly blurry. He was playing quidditch, James had scored, everyone was cheering but he was staring at her. Because she looked so fucking beautiful in his jersey. And then the wild gestures she was making- oh that makes sense now. He might be a bit late.

He had a faint recollection of people screaming and his vision filling with stars before it turned into pitch black, vaguely remembering someone screaming something strange as he dropped from his broom. He flutters his eyes open, immediately squeezing them shut at the bright light he knew was the Hospital wing after being in here plenty of times in the past four years. He groaned again, hearing his curtain being torn back, slightly opening his eyes to reveal the healer, a lazy grin settling on his face,

"Hi, Poppy" He rasped out, his throat rather dry, as he blinked up at the woman, who stared back down at him, shaking her head,

"Foolish game, quidditch. The number of injuries...,you're lucky she managed to slow your fall, otherwise you might have not made it"

She? She slowed his fall. Who is she?

"Who?" He muttered, wincing when the healer touched the side of his head, checking him over before changing his bandage.

"Utterly miraculous if I do say so myself, she's a powerful one that Mallory" She spoke softly, his eyes wide open at the name leaving her lips, his insides twisting around when the she gently nods her head to his other side, causing him to glance over the sight of Mallory Grindelwald filling his vision.

Her knees are tucked up tight to her chest, curled up as she perched on the chair beside his bed, still wearing his jersey and the exact outfit she was wearing at the match. He softens at the sight, the red lipstick smudged all over her mouth, her snowy hair all over the place where she must have been running her hands through it, a red blanket covering her lap he gathered the healer placed over her. She's still beautiful, even with a pout on her lips and the furrow in his brows in her sleep.

"Professor Mcgonagall had me knock her out with dreamless sleep potion, i've never seen anything like it. Refused to leave- James was difficult but she told us if she left you were going with her" The healer said with a mischievous look on her face when he stared at the girl, his heart swelling in his chest, "You've been out three days"

"Thanks Poppy" He murmured when she checked him over once last time before leaving and closing the curtains around him again, the boy grunting as he picked himself up, leaning against the headboard of the bed, silently gazing at the girl. He eyes her arm sticking out towards him in the arm of the chair, limp with her palm facing upwards, her fingers slightly curled up. He debates himself for a few moments, whispering under his breath before slowly reaching out, his tingling fingertips lightly touching hers, before he recoiled backwards wide eyed, jumping when she spoke,
