“If only my water had broken later,” cried Melody. Her and Logan were seconds away from reuniting when she went into labour. “It’s so amazing how a split second can change everything,” she sighed. Melody looked at her baby then held him in her arms. She cried, “I’m so sorry. This is all my fault! This isn’t your fault. It’s mine. I made the biggest mistake of my life and now your dad won’t listen to what I’ve to say”
Logan looked at the picture the nurse took of him, Melody and their baby. He took note of Melody’s body language. He saw the way Melody rested her head on his shoulder. He also saw her smile in the picture. The woman he saw in the picture was a new mom who was in the presence of the man she loved. This was the moment he realised his own mistake. He realised he had yet again broken her heart
“I really am a monster,” Logan sighed. Logan drove straight to the hospital but as visitors weren’t allowed in at night, he slept in his car for a few hours. As soon as visitors were allowed in, he made a mad dash to Melody’s room. He needed to tell her there and then
He told her, “I’m so sorry about yesterday. I know you didn’t give your answer yesterday but I should have let you. I should have asked you yesterday instead of getting angry and I’m sorry. I’m sorry for everything I’ve ever done. There’s two things I’m not sorry about. Meeting you and having a baby with you”
Starting to cry a little, he said, “Melody Prince, I love you and want us to be a family. I promise I’ll make it up to you if you let me.” Melody cried, “I love you so much and I am so sorry I pushed you away. Yes, I want us to be a family starting right now,” then held Logan’s hand, brought him closer to her and kissed him
