"Where do I even start explaining all of this? Oh wait, I know!" Exclaimed a blond-haired girl, her clothing resembling a cougar. Her eyes, in the colour of the sky, shining with excitement and a hint of unsureness.
"So, it all began when a woman named Laura Morgenstern became the miraculous keeper. She cared about the kwamis in her own, strict way - kinda like you – and that's because she basically grew up with all of them around her from day to night. She practiced to become the perfect adept for this job with her master and in the end, she managed to get what she wanted, after the old keeper got too old to be able to protect it. She was merely 23 years old when that happened.
She mourned his death -of course- but she had to stay strong for the others. Oh wait, I forgot to mention, that where she came from, nobody knows, because her first memory is of the Moon village.
You know, Moon village is a place for unhappy or unwanted children, who were found by members of said village. Everybody who lived there was happy, honest, prideful, and caring people, but they are also the best fighters when it comes to defending what was right. I must know since I came from that place before it was destroyed, but we'll talk about that some other day.
As I said, they lived in harmony and it was all thanks to the founders of the village, who all raised the very first children they brought there. Can you guess who it was?"
"..."
"Okay, you don't like guessing games, fine. It was the night butterfly and the peacock, shocking for you to hear, right? Anyways, the one who thought about it was the moth, who felt left out and alone, but he loved to gaze at the moon. Then he noticed that children, who were on the streets, also liked to do so and a plan formed in his mind. One calm night, he gathered all of them, the poor and the rich children, all those who were unwanted by their parents, and he left the town with them. They traveled far, until they reached a small cave entrance, went inside, and then barricaded the entrance with a big rock. They have made two parts of the village: The Moon village, where were those, who could be sent out, and The Butterfly village, where lived children, that hadn't learned enough to be sent out, since they could get badly hurt.
Everybody was taught how to work together as a team, and nobody got left out. They all worked for whatever they needed and if one needed something, the other exchanged it for something they did not have. It might seem like I'm telling you a fairy-tale, but it really does exist, sir. I was there, therefore I need to know how it works.
Anyways, people did not like that children were taken right under their noses and they made everybody from that village wanted by the king and now I do suppose the government, which is why it was so dangerous to go outside. Also, before last names were invented, it was easy to slip into the crowd. Then it changed and- because nobody remembered their last names, so they went only by their first names- they had to improvise and make one up. Those, who were not creative enough, met a terrible fate, but nowadays it's only few years of prison for "child abduction", which is complete nonsense." The girl said, annoyed.
"Please continue."
"Right, so, every time any of the two masters gets too old to protect the village, they give their miraculous to their apprentice and when that person gets old, the process repeats. Wait a sec, I forgot to mention that as time went by, almost every superhero visited the village, and every one of them got their own apprentice, specifically picked to their liking, but some people never got the chance. All of the heroes, except for the moth and peacock, left with their apprentice, once they picked them and we never saw them again.
But then, somebody took the miraculous of the ladybug and the cat and wished for more miraculouses. Of course, their wish came true, but there was a catch- alongside with creating the miraculous of a cougar right away (so now for a wish to happen, you must gather all three of them)-kwamis had to create a special thing, that, when put right next to the other or others, merged and created a whole new miraculouses. That created the terms: Parental miraculous, Mother miraculous, father miraculous, original, and merged miraculous.
Originals, as we call them, are miraculouses that existed before the wish was made. You can only merge the original miraculous with the original miraculous to create a new one. It would be too overpowered if this wasn't a rule.
Merged miraculouses are the ones that came from merging the originals.
Parental miraculouses usually come in pairs, but there was one case of it coming from three originals. It's the Father (dominant) miraculous and Mother (animal-deciding) miraculous. Father miraculous decides what power the newly made miraculous will have and the Mother miraculous decides what kind of animal will the kwami be. It doesn't matter if two male miraculouses merged or if a female and male miraculous merged, the terms will always be the same.
For the third term of Parental miraculouses, we called it Nanny miraculous, since it has the purpose to strengthen the power of the miraculous. The only case we have up to this day is the Panda miraculous. Thanks to it, the owner will not have to transform in five minutes, but instead in fifteen, which is a big bonus for what they've gotten as a power.
Anyways, back to the history of us. So, Laura had protected the whole village as a descendant of the moth with her friend, Jessica, who inherited the peacock miraculous, for decades. But one day, an unknown superhero- or should I say supervillain- attacked it and there were only two people to protect it, even though it was only one person. They were awfully strong since they were using the deer miraculous, turning people on her side, gaining more power. The two did not want to fight their friends, but they had to, as they saw that the villain was going after the box with miraculouses.
Laura fought against the unknown person as Jessica ran in, fought her way through the crowd, and took the box. She ran outside to make an escape to a safe hideout of the heroes, but when she did, she saw Laura on the verge of her powers, looking like she won't make it for much longer. They both shared a sad glance and a silent tear rolled down Laura's cheek.
Jessica wanted to fall on her knees and cry or to go and help her best friend, but she couldn't. She had to get the box out of the villain's reach. She dashed in the direction of a secret river path, hidden well. Everybody in the village tried to stop her, even the children, but she successfully avoided them all. She felt very sad to see all the people, she cared about, go against her, but she had to make it.
When she was near the entrance, she spotted a little child, no older than six, crying, calling out for her friend to stop and return to normal. Jessica set her mind on a single flash of light that appeared out of nowhere before her. She picked the little girl up, still running.
When they arrived, she pulled out the miraculous of the cougar, clipped it in the child's hair, sat her on a boat, and put the box in her arms. Then Jessica told her what to do and what to say to the hero the girl was supposed to run to, and she sent her on her way. After she made sure that the girl was far enough, she ran back to the battlefield as fast as she could to help her friend.
I do not know what happened after that, but it's said that the heroes died fighting the villain, dragging him down with them, so the danger was defeated. It's sad to think about it, but I guess that's just the way of the world.
Anyways, after that, their apprentices took the lead, but they were too young to lead a whole village and everybody thought, that all the miraculouses were stolen, so what was the point in staying? In the end, the only ones who stayed were the two new leaders and a few of the children, who weren't old enough to go outside, but it was merely a dozen.
It's said that it's slowly gaining back its glory, but it won't be easy, since it took whole centuries to be the way it was."
"And what happened with that little girl?"
"Girl? Oh, right, so, she reached the bunny hero's house but had found out, that all the other holders moved across the whole world, so she could not reach them. She wanted to return home, to Moon village, but she couldn't remember which way to go. Nor did the bunny know, since she was taken away from there when she was merely three at the time.
The bunny miraculous keeper was named Bunnix <Isabella Peterk> and she had a five-year-old daughter <named Nicole>. She lived alone, working as a website creator, and I don't know why she did not have a husband or at least a boyfriend, but she refused to answer my questions regarding this topic."
"With how enthusiastically you're telling the story; I can't help but wonder. Are you perhaps that little girl?"
A/N: The names in < > are not actually said.
