Episode 13B: I Want My Mommy

(CUPHEAD puts out a second candle before getting the top one.)

Cuphead-Yeah, you know that old saying about siblings fighting over things.

(He dashes to the furthest candle and puts it out.)

Cuphead-Like, "Mom said it's my turn on the rocking horse."

Mugman-But you'd always say it was Elder Kettle who said it was your turn with the rocking horse.

(CUPHEAD jumps to the floor and runs towards the last candle.)

Cuphead-It's a generalization, okay?

(He jumps up and puts out the last candle.)

Cuphead-You know what I think? I think your mind's been on Mom ever since Alice mentioned that she used to live here.

(MUGMAN jumps up and parries the heads.)

Mugman-You know what I think?

(Six candles light up. MUGMAN puts out the top one.)

Mugman-I think you're projecting.

Cuphead-Projecting?

(He jumps up and puts out the two middle candles.)

Cuphead-What makes you think I'm projecting?

Mugman-'Cause you brought her up first.

(CUPHEAD jumps to the floor and begins running from the heads.)

Cuphead-So what if I did?

(He puts out two of the bottom candles.)

Cuphead-Alice said she was trying to find her way home. What if she has?

(MUGMAN jumps down and parries the last candle.)

Cuphead-While we're here, we can find her. We'll finally see her again!

(MUGMAN jumps up and parries the head. Five candles light up. MUGMAN puts one out immediately.)

Mugman-You realize we have ingredients to collect, right?

(He jumps up and puts out another candle.)

Cuphead-You're really going to prioritize some ingredients over your own mother?

Mugman-Sounds like somebody's a mama's boy.

(He jumps down and parries a third candle right between him and CUPHEAD.)

Cuphead-And you're not?

(He parries a candle in the corner.)

Cuphead-Mugman, we haven't seen her in six years. We barely remember what she looks like! Does that not worry you at all?

(He jumps up and puts out the last candle.)

Mugman-I mean, you have a point...

(He begins chasing the heads trying to parry them. Once he finally does, all ten candles light up. He puts one out.)

Mugman-We can find her after we collect the ingredients.

(He parries the other two candles on the left.)

Cuphead-Are you scared at all?

(He parries a candle in the top middle.)

Cuphead-Like, this is the first time we'll be seeing her since we were four. What if we don't recognize her?

(MUGMAN parries a candle on the floor.)

Mugman-You're gonna make me nervous.

Cuphead-Sorry. She's just been on my mind all day. Like, do we even remember her name?
