Why 4.5 stars?

The writing of this story is excellent. It is effortless to read and fit for all ages. This piece portrays the superb writing skills of Charles Dickens, the story explains complex and difficult situations in very easy words. And everything is straightforward. Even the slightest detail has an interesting plot in the story. But, there are a few plotholes like; Why was he neglected by his father? How did Fan (his sister) grow to care for him even though she lived with her father, who neglected Ebenezer?

Avoiding the flaws, A Christmas Carol is a pleasing story and I highly suggest you read this for a better understanding of your life, and the lives of others around you.
