As I admire this beauty in front of me, I envisioned all the possibilities. But, when I thought

I got Tyler figured out, she surprises me with her many hats. I don't think she knows how sexy

she is without even trying. The way she commands the room and the passion behind her

presentation screams, "Woman on a Mission."

Before I could respond to her, Ben touched me on my back.

"Okay young people, let's go to lunch, and I'm not taking no for an answer." He said to Tyler and

I. So we both gather our belongings and follow behind the newly reformed group. Ben is in his

element; it reminds me of him and pops at home watching the game.

"Is this crossing the line?" I whispered to Tyler.

"Oh, be quiet and be happy you're still in my presence." She said.

"There you go being mean for no reason." I chuckled.

"What are you two whispering about? Mrs. Stein asked, giving Tyler that look females be doing

with their friends.

"We're whispering about you guys, acting like high school kids. "Tyler commented quickly.

"Girl, you haven't seen anything yet. These two together are calm, which I prefer because I can't

handle the other guys. Thanks for inviting us!" Mrs. Stein said excitedly.

"I'm happy I did. Just promise me you guys won't burst out singing "reunited, and it feels do

good" when we get on the elevator." Tyler joked.

We all burst out laughing at her silly joke. So she does have a sense of humor. Her laugh is music

to my ear, and I wish I could see her like this all the time. I admire the shape of Tyler's face and

how relaxed she looks, laughing along with Mrs. Stein; I can tell that she's comfortable. That's

how I want her to be with me. As we stepped on the elevator Ben continue to laugh before

addressing Tyler.

"Oh Tyler, I see you got jokes... Old friends, this is Mr. King Karter, and today we'll be having

lunch at one of his restaurants right here in the City. King is my knucklehead nephew." Ben

introduced me to Mr. and Mrs. Stein. I extended my arm to greet the couple. "Please don't mind

this old man right here, but he hasn't been right since his last birthday. Have me considering if

it's time to check him in." I greeted them, and they laugh.

"Nice meeting you. Do you and Tyler know each other outside of here? Mr. Stein asked. Both

Tyler and I looked at each other before answering.

"Actually, our path has crossed and has been crossing a lot lately. I think the Universe is trying

to tell us something." I replied making eye contact as she stood there fluster. I can tell she was

slightly embarrassed, but I'm not about to lie to these people. "No shit Sherlock! Here I am

playing matchmaker, and you already know each other." Ben said, smiling from ear to ear. So,

this is the reason he wanted me at the meeting so badly. My mom would say, "Yuh neva see

smoke without fire". That's a famous Jamaican proverb that means: Sometimes, actions that

appear to be trivial are an indication of some deep-rooted resentment or of trouble or romance

brewing. DING!... The sound of the elevator went off, breaking the most awkward moment I've

ever encountered. Everyone was staring at Ben, astonished by his outburst. As we get off the

elevator and walk outside, Mr. & Mrs. Stein muffled under their breath, "Same old Benjamin."

"Hmm Hmm" Tyler cleared her throat before she continues.

"This is me. I'll meet everyone at the restaurant. Keyes Steakhouse, right?" I nodded as she

hopped in her Jeep before tipping the valet guy. So there she goes running again.

....At Keyes Steakhouse

As I walk into my establishment, I feel a sense of pride seeing the employees doing what's

right. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I called ahead to reserve a private room for our

lunch and have seating arranged. So I wasn't surprised when I saw Tyler sitting with Mrs. Stein

even though I had arranged for her to sit beside me. She's one stubborn woman. I smirk, and

Tyler did the same. She is aware of my intention and killed the opportunity. I need to know what

she is scared of. It's not like we can avoid each other.
