I just got done with the day, i was leaving for home, when i saw Ankita coming towards me, i sighed, whole day she has avoided me
I have to make amends with her she's my only friend, losing her would make me all alone
"Ankita yaar, please don't be upset with me" i said carefully, to my surprise she gave me a bright smile and put her hand on my shoulder
"Sorry yaar Leeza, i got so upset with you, i know I overreacted" she said
"You are not upset with me?" I asked
"No" she shook her head, i smiled, but her next sentence took my smile away
"If you are saying that Irteza is not your fiance then i am sure he is not, i believe you" she said, my eyes become teary and I shed tears
"What happened?" She quickly hugged me and patted my back
"Irteza is not my fiance, he is my husband" i said and her hand stopped moving on my back, she broke the hug and looked wide eyed at me
"What? What did you say?" She asked
"It's true"
"But.. when? How?" Confusion was clearly evident on her face
"Let's sit somewhere, I'll tell you everything" i said
We both were now sitting in a cafe, luckily there were only few people.
"Tell me" she demanded, i sighed deeply
I told her everything from that Danish incident to irteza's help, from Zoya overhearing to bade papa's thought, from a little help to a huge misunderstanding.
How dadi left me with no choice, and i had to marry Irteza. She listened to everything quietly
"So does this mean you are irteza's wife now?" She asked
"Sadly" i nodded
"How is this possible? Just in one day you became his wife"
"One moment is enough to become someone's wife, nikah is the most sacred thing"
"But what about haldi and mehndi? These functions won't take place"
"They will, my Bhai would be coming in couple of days then all functions will happen"
"So nikah can happen without all other functions"
"Ofcourse"
"Till then you will stay in your room?" She asked, i nodded, "after that?"
"Don't make me think about it" i could feel my insides getting anxious, "i am so angry at the situation I'm in right now"
"I told you not to take this Danish lightly, i can't stop thinking what could have happened if irteza did not reach on time that day"
