Ash falls to the ground. It seems like there's always a fire burning in this time. I sit on the top of a building, my bad wings folded to my back and my gun underneath my left hand. I watch a fire burn down a building as the wind blows through my quills. I let out a soft sigh as the building continues to burn. The screams of mobians echoes through the air, reminding me of the day the apocalypse rose. The last day I had seen my parents. I crossed my legs as I heard what sounded like someone walking over to me.

"I should've known you'd be here Dusk." My sister said as she saw me. "You should tell us where you're going when you run off. Ray said that he stole something valuble."

"Not know Twilight." I muttered. "I'm not in the mood."

Twilight walked over to me and sat down to my right. "Whatever's bothering you, you can tell me. You're my little sister."

I sighed. "It's nothing. I just miss them."

"Don't worry about them being dead Dusk." Twilight placed her hand on my back, right above my wings. "You know they'll never die."

"What if our secret's discovered?" My twin sister said as she walked over to my left and sat down next to me. "If anyone finds out who we are then we're dead."

"Dawn, no one's goanna discover who our relatives are." Twilight sighed. "I'm goanna go help Ray with... Whatever he needs help with."

She jumped off the building and walked away after that and Dawn looked at the building I had been watching burn.

"You know..." Dawn started to say as I turned my head to look at her. "If you think about it enough, everything around us could remind us of them."

"They're still alive..." I softly growled. What Dawn had meant was that our parents, aunts, uncles, and their cousins were all dead.

I put my gun in jacket before unfolding my wings and flying away. I landed in Mystic Jungle. Well, what was left of it. This used to be my favorite place to hide, now it's mostly burned to ash. I closed my eyes, remembering what the jungle looked before any of this happened. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and stop this from happening.

"Hey Dusk." I heard someone say. When I turned to see who it was, my cousin and friend were there.

"Hi Veta. Hi Joanna." I mumbled.

Veta walked over to my left and sat down next to me and Joanna sat at my right. "You said you can time travel, right Dusk?" Joanna said softly.

I looked at her with a blank expression. "Yes. Why?"

"If you can time travel then why don't you go back in time and stop your family from rising their lives?" Joanna mumbled as she crossed her arms and folded her wings to her back. She's part bat and hedgehog like I am but she's also part jackal, octoling, and inkling.

I glared at her, obviously startling her and making her a bit uncomfortable. "It's not as simple as that Joanna." I told her. "It was either this reality or the entire planet would be vaporized."

"How would you kn-" Joanna started to ask before she cut herself off. "Never mind. What year were you born in again?"

I looked away from Joanna. "2021." I sighed, thinking of how long ago that was.

"Wow." Joanna looked shocked. "You're like...... A million years old."

I glared at her again. "I'm 185."

This time, Joanna stumbled from my glare as she backed away. Then she fell over. "Okay... Sorry."

"If you call her old then you call me old too." Veta said. "I was born three years after her."
