As I previously mentioned, we had a new form, and therfore a new tutor. This meant that we were in a different room with a new seating plan - this boy and I were in the same form. On the way in our seats were on the board and I saw almost immediately that I would be sat next to him. I sighed as seats in form don't usually change; this meant I would likely be stuck with him the whole year. Reluctantly,  I trudged to the back of the room and pulled the stool from underneath the table. He was already sat down and we showed our mutual disagreement about the unfortunate placement situation.

This year our forms were named after countries so we were expected to do research on them, there was a worksheet to fill out and we had ipads to help.

I only noticed a difference in his behaviour when it came to drawing the shape of China on a map: he politely got my attention and asked if I would be able to draw his diagram for him. I agreed and passed back his paper when I had finished. It then came to colouring flags of our form's country. I was rooting through my pencil case trying to find a red pencil when, out of the blue, one rolls over to me, I looked to the boy and he nodded, so I began colouring in the flag.

I was shocked. I had truly believed that we were still immature year eight students so his actions left me flabbergasted, yet thankful- maybe we could bury the hatchett?
