Y/n POV:
"Vinnie you ignored me for the entire day!" I yelled at him. I came early this morning and all he did was streaming and playing valorant. It was almost 5 pm by now.

"Drop it y/n you know I'm fucking busy these days and i just wanted to rest a little!" He yelled back at me. His face turning slightly red out of anger.

"I just wanted you to give me attention for five minutes. FIVE FUCKING MINUTES VIN!" Tears welled up in my eyes.

It's not only that he basically just said he can't relax with me and need a fucking computer game to calm down, rather that just talking to me, his face, his posture, his clenched fists. Everything brought me back in that apartment with my ex. he used to hit me, yell at me and manipulate me into believing what he did was totally fine and normal in a relationship. When i met vinnie, he told me he was abusive and i broke up with him. One thing led to another and vinnie and i started dating and i know he would never hurt me in any way, but his angry face brought back the old anxieties I've been overcoming so well lately.

"Well I'm sorry if i wasn't your fucking doll to play with once in a life time y/n!" My eyes widened and my heart felt like it shattered.

"D-Do you really think i use you for my amusement?" I almost whispered.

He sighs angrily and lifts his hand. I flinch. This is how it all started with my ex and i just was back there. Against a wall. Ready to take in the sharp pain. So i just turned my head a little.

Vinnie POV:

fuck.

She just flinched. She fucking flinched. She told me about her ex, how could i be so stupid?

"Y/n-" i slowly approached her and she stepped back. A single tear rolling down her cheek.

What have i done?

"Hey baby, look at me. It's me. Don't be scared." She slowly lifts her head and i pull her close to my chest. thats when she started to sob. I held her even closer, one hand rubbing her back, the other pressing her head against my chest. i placed a kiss on her head and she finally wrapped her arms around me tightly.

"I-I'm sorry" she stuttered.

"No, no baby I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you, you were right, i was a dick and i absolutely didn't mean it. I'm so sorry." I said and lifted her chin to looks into her eyes. "You know i would never hurt you, right?" She nodded. I smiled slightly and pressed a kiss on her lips. "Come on lets lay down, alright?" She nodded again and i picked her up and gently put her on the bed. After i got in too she immediately wrapped her arms around my neck again and nuzzled her head in my chest. I smiled and wrapped my arms around her waist before kissing her forehead. She happily sighed.

"Could we do something together tomorrow?" She asked and i laughed a little.

"Of course sweetheart, anything you want."

"I love you" she mumbled almost asleep.

"I love you" i said back "You're safe with me y/n."

I kept whispering sweet things into her ear until i heard slight snoring from her.

God i love her so much.
