She doesn't know who she is nor where she comes from. She doesn't understand when someone is addressing her, and she can't say anything herself. Two men rescue her when she runs into a group of abusers. However, what are their own intentions?
Hatake...
They sat in silence for a while, huddled together and looking at the fire. Finally, Kakashi shifted slightly and said:
"Ahem, I will try to put my intentions a little more correctly this time: first, it's time to check how things are with your scrapes – I think it might be possible to remove the bandages already. And also, regarding your... more extensive wound..." here he hesitated confusedly, "it should have been examined and bandaged long ago, too. Yesterday I didn't dare offer it after everything that had happened."
Arina gave him a sullen look, but allowed him to start small. He unwrapped the bandages on her palms, lightly ran his fingers over the almost healed skin – only a barely noticeable trace remained, which would be gone very soon – and nodded with satisfaction. This quite innocent gesture made the girl blush slightly and she hurried to turn away. Fortunately, Kakashi at that moment was throwing away the no longer necessary patches into the fire, and did not notice her embarrassment.
Next it was the knee's turn – here Kakashi was not completely satisfied, so he repeated the process and bandaged it again.
Finally, the wound under the chest. The girl felt awkward again, remembering the circumstances under which it was treated the first time. Kakashi sensed her torment, and confessed guiltily:
"Yes, I had to act at my own discretion back then... The situation was unclear and disturbing. Do you even know that your heart was pierced?"
Arina looked at him anxiously, reflexively putting her hand over the injury spot. Shook her head. She remembered pulling out some kind of miniature long blade and feeling the wound, but clearly not in a way such a fatal wound should have felt.
"I don't understand how this is possible, but the fact remains – that's why I couldn't just ignore it... Well, and for reasons beyond my control, I..." Kakashi got completely flustered, "well, you understand."
The girl hugged herself, showing that she understood everything perfectly well.
"Fero?" she simply asked.
"No, he didn't see anything," Kakashi hastened to reassure her. "I had sent him off to Hofu to investigate. Therefore, Tekiro wasn't there when I..." Kakashi sheepishly ran his hand through his hair. "I tried not to... ahem... as much as I could... but you understand..."
Arina felt an unbearable desire to end this conversation, which was beginning to become way too burdensome, and promptly transformed into a monologue. It was clear that it had to be done, and it was impossible to do it otherwise while she was unconscious. She got up, interrupting Kakashi's confused muttering, and went to her sleeping place, lifted the hem of her dress. She sat down on the bed with her back to Kakashi, lifted the hem higher, wrapped herself in the blanket and began to pull the dress off.
Kakashi exhaled, got up and poured some water into a bowl, making sure that it was the right temperature, then assembled everything he needed and moved to Arina. She had already started unwrapping the bandage, but Kakashi stopped her:
"Allow me."
He settled down behind her and took the end of the bandage from her hands, began to somewhat awkwardly, trying not to touch her, unwrap it, simultaneously rolling it up into a neat bundle.
